Donavon Frankenreiter Taps G. Love and Moon Taxi for Rolling Together Revue ‘26

Surf-rock standout Donavon Frankenreiter will hit the road this summer with longtime friend and genre-blurring artist G. Love for a collaborative 16-date East Coast trek. The Rolling Together Revue Summer Tour ’26, which also features accompaniment from Nashville indie rock mainstays Moon Taxi, gets underway on June 5 in St. Petersburg, Florida.

Frankenreiter, best known for surf-rock staples like “Free,” “Big Wave,” and last year’s “So Funky,” calls The Rolling Together Revue Tour ‘26 “a celebration of live music’s communal spirit.” He says he’s “stoked” to reunite with G. Love and share the bill with Moon Taxi.

More from Spin:

With the trek, which spans locales from Florida to Massachusetts, Frankenreiter aims to bring “people together through music, good vibes, and celebrating summer the right way.”

As a former professional surfer turned beloved singer-songwriter, Donavon Frankenreiter has spent the past two decades carving out a musical style that blends surf rock, folk, and blue-eyed soul into an easygoing but unwavering catalog. His chemistry is an ideal fit with G. Love, whose amalgamation of hip-hop, blues, and alternative has similarly resisted neat categorization, and adds a spontaneous edge to the otherwise breezy proceedings.

Meanwhile Moon Taxi brings a welcome blend of indie rock, electronic textures, and improvisational tendencies best exhibited on their latest album Highwave. The Rolling Revue Tour ‘26 openers are veterans of major festivals like Coachella, Bonnaroo and Lollapalooza. The band’s performances are expansive, energetic and have a jam-friendly dimension ideally suited for the tour’s unique format.

By design the month-long run of coastal and outdoor venues is special. Once Moon Taxi kicks off the shows, they will return to the stage to serve as the backing band for Frankenreiter and G. Love’s performance. In lieu of individual solo sets, the co-headliners will deliver a loose, song-swapping segment that has become a highlight of their past appearances together.

As such, the Rolling Together Revue positions itself less as a traditional package tour and more as a traveling jam session rooted in longtime friendships, stylistic crossovers, and the promise of a few unexpected surprises each night.

The tour’s routing adds to the overall vibe, leaning heavily into scenic, open-air spaces and mid-sized venues, including stops in Virginia Beach, Atlantic City, Westport, and Cape Cod. Here’s the full itinerary:
