Neil Young has cancelled his upcoming UK and EU tour dates with the Chrome Hearts.

Young, who turned 80 last November, was scheduled to begin a run of dates at the Eden Project in Cornwall on June 27, with other UK shows lined up for Manchester, Chelmsford, Glasgow, Blenheim Palace and Cardiff.

Young and the band were also due to play in Europe, including France, Belgium and Italy.

Young broke the news on his Archives site: “I have decided to take a break and will not be touring Europe this time,” he wrote. “Thanks to everyone who bought tickets. I’m sorry to let you down, but this is not the time. I do love playing live and being with you and the Chrome Hearts.”

June 22: Nimes Festival de Nimes, France
June 24: Nancy Open Air, France
June 27: Chelmsford Hylands Park, UK

July 3: Blenheim Palace Festival, UK
July 5: Cardiff Blackweir Fields, Wales
July 8: Weert Evenemententerrein Weert-Noord, The Netherlands
July 10: Zottegem Rock Zottegem, Belgium
July 12: Locarno Moon+Stars Piazza Grande, Switzerland
July 14: Lucca Summer Festival Mura Storiche, Italy
