David Bowie: You’re Not Alone is a new multimedia spectacle coming to Lightroom in London’s King’s Cross from April 22.

Written and directed by Mark Grimmer – Creative Director for the V&A’s David Bowie Is exhibition – and Tom Wexler, You’re Not Alone will include a mixture of iconic, rarely seen and never-before-exhibited material, selected from thousands of hours of film in the vaults of the David Bowie Archive in New York.

This includes unseen extended footage of David Bowie performing “Heroes” at Earl’s Court in 1978, pieced back together from new camera angles found on film reels discovered in the archives. There will also be a new edit of Bowie’s final performance as Ziggy Stardust at London’s Hammersmith Odeon in 1973.

David Bowie: You're Not Alone

“Throughout his career, Bowie repeatedly resisted being figured as anything but human,” says Mark Grimmer. “Rather than undermining his mystique, we designed a show to celebrate Bowie as a champion of human creativity – focusing on the message he expressed time and again: that art, in all its forms, is our best hope for understanding what it means to be alive.”

Tickets for David Bowie: You’re Not Alone are available here.
