Noah Kahan’s journey from little-known Vermont troubadour to stadium-filling star will be chronicled in the Netflix documentary Out of Body, which will be released April 13. Kahan’s long-awaited follow-up to his 2022 breakthrough Stick Season, The Great Divide, arrives 11 days later through Mercury.

My life was filmed for a year-and-a-half. It was weird, difficult and genuinely beautiful to experience,” Kahan wrote on social media. “I’m excited for you guys to see it too. This documentary captures so much more than I ever thought the world would see about myself, my creative journey and my family. I am nervous about it because it’s personal and some things I touch on are painful to think about and be reminded of. I remember though that anything scary or hard is usually worth sharing with the world. Maybe it will reach one of you in a time when you need it. Maybe you’ll see some of your own family in mine. Either way, I hope you love it.”

Out of Body was produced by RadicalMedia, Live Nation Studios, Polygram Entertainment and Federal Films. It was directed by Nick Sweeney.

Kahan began working with longtime collaborator Gabe Simon and producer/songwriter Aaron Dessner of the National on The Great Divide shortly after wrapping the doc. The album’s title track topped streaming charts around the world upon its release last month, while its Parker Schmidt-directed video premiered during the Super Bowl as part of a Mastercard commercial. Kahan is teaming with the credit card company for various activations surrounding his upcoming tour, including VIP tickets and experiences.

The artist will hit the road beginning June 11 in Orlando, Fla., with support from Gigi Perez. The stadium itinerary includes four nights at Boston’s Fenway Park. Kahan’s latest single, “Porch Light,” is also off to a fast start since emerging last week and is No. 8 on Spotify’s Daily U.S. Top songs tally. The title cut from Stick Season, meanwhile, explodes 72 places to No. 60.
