Bruno Mars will release an as-yet-untitled new single on Friday (Jan. 9), which will be the first taste of his long-awaited next album, The Romantic. The project is due Feb. 27 from Atlantic and is the follow-up to 2016’s 24K Magic, which won six Grammys.

Mars has never been far from the spotlight in the past decade despite the long break between albums. In the past 18 months, he landed giant hits with Lady Gaga (“Die With a Smile”) and ROSÉ (“APT.”) and continued a successful Las Vegas residency first launched on New Year’s Eve 2016.

Mars also earned Grammy glory for the 2021 debut LP from his Silk Sonic project with Anderson .Paak, An Evening With Silk Sonic. The song “Leave the Door Open” swept the Record and Song of the Year categories en route to also winning Best R&B Performance and Best R&B Song.

The Romantic can be pre-ordered here.
