Star-Studded EDMA Ceremony Blows the Roof Off Miami’s Storied Eden Roc Hotel

AI Chat - Image Generator:

This year’s Electronic Dance Music Awards brought the heat March 28th at the Eden Roc Hotel, inviting fans to celebrate wins by Zedd, Martin Garrix and more in Miami.

First came open-air DJ sets from Hardwell, Armin van Buuren, Alok, BONNIE X CLYDE and a collaborative performance by Aluna and Coco & Breezy, all of whom threw down sun-kissed DJ sets by the pool.

Then, due to noise ordinances, the EDMAs took over the lobby of the storied Magic City hotel for an electrifying, impromptu pop-up event. A slew of electronic music stars showed up and showed out, including Joel Corry, HAYLA, MEDUZA, Becky Hill, HUGEL, Laidback Luke, Sickick, Markus Schulz, Vinny Vibe and Tim Clark. EDM.com Class of 2025 artist Linney also delivered a surprise cameo.

The audio, originally designed for open-air dispersal, concentrated its power indoors with crystalline vocals and palpitating bass you could feel in your molars. The walls of Eden Roc contained what the Miami sky couldn’t, and the last-minute pivot mirrored EDM’s own origins: adapting existing spaces, working within constraints and finding beauty in the unexpected.

Driven by its fan-based voting system, the MTV-style EDMA ceremony annually dishes out unique trophies that resemble DJ decks, including a functional jog-wheel. This year’s winners include superstar DJs like Zedd, Martin Garrix, Dom Dolla, Amelie Lens, FISHER and Hardwell.

Brownies & Lemonade‘s DNBNL offshoot is hitting the road this summer, bringing drum & bass parties to a handful of Dave & Buster’s locations across the country.

A focused celebration of the genre, DNBNL has become one of the beloved electronic music event organizer’s most recognizable series. They’ve taken over Dave & Buster’s in the past, tapping into the nostalgia of arcades and providing fans with a setting that feels both unexpected and wildly fitting.

The choice of venue reflects the team’s ongoing push to activate rave culture in unique venues, like laundromats, abandoned zoos and even random elevators.

Amsterdam to Shut Down Major Highway for Massive Audio Obscura Rave

AI Chat - Image Generator:

As the home of the world’s leading electronic music summit, ADE, and a longstanding seedbed of rave culture, Amsterdam is no stranger to bold ideas. But closing a major highway for a rave? Even for one of the cultural capitals of dance music, it’s an ambitious endeavor.

On June 21st, Audio Obscura will transform a section of the Netherlands’ A10 Zuid motorway into a one-day-only rave venue, welcoming 5,000 fans to celebrate Amsterdam’s 750th anniversary. The landmark event is part of the wider Festival op de Ring, a 17-kilometer spectacle that will see the A10 closed to traffic and repurposed for a celebration of Dutch art, culture and music.

Known for curating events in unconventional venues like the Rijksmuseum bicycle passage and Concertgebouw, Audio Obscura is one of the city’s foremost champions of its globally revered electronic music scene. The team is now taking over the stretch of highway near the RAI Metro Station, promising nine hours of adrenaline-fueled DJ sets from a slew of artists still to be announced.

CUPRA, the event’s lead partner, has helped make the highway rave free to attend. Fans can register via the Audio Obscura website for a chance to score a ticket when they officially drop at 10am CEST on May 21st.

Check out the event’s trailer below.

Watch Full 2025 EDC Las Vegas Festival Sets by Alesso, Tiësto, ISOKNOCK and More

AI Chat - Image Generator:

In a world inching toward dystopia, EDC returned to Las Vegas over the weekend and once again offered a welcome escape under the electric sky.

Those who have attended North America’s largest EDM event in the past know it’s much more than just a festival. It’s more of a temporary civilization with its own language, laws and gravitational pull. And in 2025, this rave utopia on the Las Vegas Motor Speedway was as inviting and colorful as ever.

From trance to techno to trap and every genre in-between, the weekend reminded us that dance is still the universal language, even when you’ve been awake for 72 hours straight and think the totem next to you is giving good life advice. But as we all know, EDC’s neon-drenched playground of bass drops and questionable fashion choices is all worth it.

Continue on to watch EDC Las Vegas 2025 live sets by Alesso, Armin van Buuren, Tiësto, ISOKNOCK and more. This article will be updated as more performances are uploaded.

Immersive Dome Electronic Music Experience Landing in Denver for One Night Only

AI Chat - Image Generator:

Because Las Vegas shouldn’t have all the fun with immersive entertainment, Denver is now getting its turn through the US debut of “Dome Show 360,” an audiovisual experience inspired by the one presented by the Vegas Sphere.

Created by veteran DJ and electronic music producer Damian Force, the show is coming to Denver’s Auraria Campus on June 13th, 2025. He says it took him over seven years to develop the “unified narrative” of the cutting-edge show, wherein the entire environment becomes the instrument.

European crowds have already lost their minds at sold-out shows in Madrid and Limassol, according to Force. The one-night-only experience now lands in Denver within an expansive 25-meter dome, with projection-mapping covering every inch of its 500-square-meter surface.

The dome will display story-driven, sci-fi-inspired visuals, enveloping the crowd at the intersection of live electronic music and digital art. Meanwhile, Force, who has played to audiences around the globe from Ibiza to Dubai, will DJ live.

You can check out a trailer for “Dome Show 360” in Denver below and purchase tickets here.

Run, Rave, Repeat: A “Detroit Techno 5k” Is Debuting During 2025 Movement Festival

AI Chat - Image Generator:

Motor City’s storied Movement Electronic Music Festival is getting a boost of endorphins over Memorial Day Weekend with the launch of the “Detroit Techno 5k,” a new event blending running with techno.

Scheduled for Sunday, May 25th, the 75-minute run will take participants along the scenic Detroit River and through the historic grounds of Fort Wayne. As the first-ever fitness-focused event tied to Movement, it’s both a race and a celebration of techno culture in the genre’s birthplace.

The event is being organized by longtime runners and friends Harrison Diskin and Zac Berlin, who worked closely with Movement and the city of Detroit to secure permits, according to The Jewish News. Diskin, a veteran event producer in Detroit and Chicago, is also an avid runner who found that staying out late for shows began to take a toll on his body.

“When we take care of our bodies and our minds, it makes a lot of the late nights more enjoyable and a lot more accessible,” he said. “As attendees are maturing, there’s a growing interest in health and wellness that’s really starting to resonate.”

That mind-body connection is at the heart of the race, which invites participants of all skill levels to run, walk or just warm up ahead of a long day at Movement, the nation’s leading techno festival. Open to all fitness levels, the 3.1-mile course will conclude with an afterparty featuring a DJ set by renowned house music producer Will Clarke. After crossing the finish line, participants can refuel with local favorites like Dutch Girl Donuts and The Schvitz before heading straight to Movement.

Tickets to the “Detroit Techno 5K” are on sale now. Movement is scheduled for May 25–27 at Detroit’s Hart Plaza with a lineup featuring Charlotte de Witte, Jamie xx, Sara Landry, Nina Kraviz and more.
