Sam Beam’s Iron & Wine return with a new track, “In Your Ocean”, ahead of the release of their eighth full-length album, Hen’s Teeth.
Due out February 27 via Sub Pop, Hen’s Teeth is the follow up to 2024’s Light Verse.
Recorded in Los Angeles with studio owner/engineer Dave Way (Fiona Apple, Jakob Dylan, Sheryl Crow) at the helm, the record features many familiar names from the Iron & Wine universe – David Garza, Sebastian Steinberg, Tyler Chester, Griffin Goldsmith, Beth Goodfellow, Kyle Crane and Paul Cartwright.
They are joined on two tracks by I’m With Her – the trio of Sarah Jarosz, Aoife O’Donovan and Sara Watkins – and also Sam Beam’s daughter Arden who contributes harmonies and backing vocals on “Roses”, “Singing Saw”, “Defiance, Ohio” and “Grace Notes”.
