Slow Motion Cowboys, the New Orleans-based Americana band fronted by songwriter Pete Fields, make their first visit to the UK for dates in September and October.

As we wrote in our review of their latest album Wolf Of Saint Elmo, they are “a wonderful throwback to early 2000s Americana; languid country with a cosmic backwash that underlies plaintive songs about loss and heartache”.

You can hear “Invisible Stars” on our latest Sounds Of The New West Vol. 7 compilation, free with the October 2025 issue of Uncut.

There’s also a live version of the song below.

Visit the band’s website to book tickets to their tour dates, which are:

September 23 – Sound Lounge, Sutton
September 24 – Betsy Trotwood, London
September 25 – The Grove, Nottingham
September 26 – Le Pub, Newport
September 27 – Otley Labour Room, Leeds
September 28 – Bears Bar, Bournemouth
September 30 – The Bees Mouth, Brighton
October 1 – The Princess Pavilion, Falmouth
October 2 – The Rye Bakery at The Station, Frome
October 3 – Fish Factory Arts Space, Penryn
October 5 – Boogaloo, London
