The Tribeca Festival is continuing to roll out pieces of its 25th anniversary lineup, with its newly announced Talks, Reunions, and Retrospectives programming putting a sharp spotlight on music-driven storytelling and the artists shaping it.
Running June 3–14, the latest wave of one-night-only events leans heavily into conversations and legacy moments that connect film and music culture, led by a major appearance from Bruce Springsteen. On June 13, the New Jersey icon will receive the Harry Belafonte Voices for Social Justice Award, followed by an onstage discussion with U2 frontman Bono, with additional tributes from Robert De Niro and Patti Smith.

Elsewhere, recent BEEF score composer Finneas will sit down with composer Anthony Willis on June 9 to discuss the intersection of pop and film scoring, while on June 13, Haim’s Este Haim will reflect on her dual career spanning band life and composing for the screen on such projects as Suncoast and You Are So Not Invited to My Bar Mitzvah. That conversation will be conducted by CNN‘s Kaitlan Collins.
Tribeca will also host the June 8 premiere of Katy Perry: The Lifetimes Tour – Live in Paris, followed by a conversation with the artist, while a 20th anniversary screening of Daft Punk’s Electroma on the same day will be accompanied by a rare un-helmeted talk from group member Thomas Bangalter in tandem with editor/screenwriter Cedric Hervet.
As previously reported, the Roots’ Ahmir “Questlove” Thimpson will debut his latest documentary centered on Earth, Wind & Fire at this year’s festival. Further non-music events at Tribeca will include Sean Penn, Paul Rudd, Keke Palmer, NBA star Dwayne Wade, a 25th anniversary celebration of Bridget Jones Diary featuring a conversation with Renée Zellweger and director Sharon Maguire and the 50th anniversary of Taxi Driver featuring a conversation with Robert De Niro and Martin Scorsese.
