“How the Story Ends” proved they weren’t holding back, and this time, Velvet Chains raise the stakes with a track that delivers with impact. Ready to turn the volume up and rock hard? The Las Vegas–based band returns with a new single.

Titled “Hurt Me,” the single cuts deep and hits hard; it’s a hard rock track through and through. The pace is slower than “How The Story Ends,” leaning toward something that almost feels like a ballad, yet never losing its grit or edges. The guitar work stands out immediately. A solo near the end of the track is powerful and memorable.

The lyrics are another standout. Introspective and emotionally charged, the lyrics address themes of psychological strain, emotional dependency, and self-destructive behavior. The song reflects on how love can feel intoxicating and comforting at first, only to slowly unravel into something damaging that leaves a person hollowed out from within.
Velvet Chains is also preparing to release a music video for “Hurt Me,” set to arrive in early March. Shortly after, they’ll hit the road for the DES ROCS North America Tour 2026 alongside RØMES, bringing their high-energy live show to major markets across the U.S. The run kicks off in March and continues through early April, with stops in Atlanta, Dallas, Houston, Phoenix, Los Angeles, San Francisco, Portland, Seattle, and more.

The musicians are already working on their next single, “DEAD IN THE HEAD,” scheduled for mid-March, shortly after the “Hurt Me” video release. The track reflects a shift toward darker and more intense material, and it feels like a natural evolution of their sound.
Honesty and authenticity define “Hurt Me.” The song may resonate with listeners who have experienced betrayal. With a growing international fan base, Velvet Chains seem to be stepping into a more confident and emotionally vulnerable chapter of their career. Fans of bands like Breaking Benjamin or Memphis May Fire will find plenty to appreciate here.
