Out May 1, it finds Meryl Streep, Anne Hathaway, Emily Blunt and Stanley Tucci reprising their roles from the 2006 original, which was nominated for two Oscars and three Golden Globes.<\/p>\n<p>Gaga, who also has a cameo in <em>Prada 2<\/em>, has been vocal about her Doechii fandom. \u201cYou don\u2019t often see someone come out of the gate with a pen that feels immediately legendary. That\u2019s Doechii to me,\u201d she <a href=\"https:\/\/www.vogue.co.uk\/article\/doechii-british-vogue-interview\" target=\"_blank\">told <em>British Vogue<\/em><\/a> in 2025. \u201cI fell in love with her music and her raw, deeply personal perspective. For Gaga, it\u2019s her first film role since 2024\u2019s <em>Joker: Folie \u00e0 Deux<\/em>, which was savaged by critics.<\/p>\n<p>As for Hathaway, she\u2019s also stepping up to the mic. <a href=\"https:\/\/www.spinmagazine.com\/2026\/03\/anne-hathaway-sings-charli-xcx\/\">As previously reported<\/a>, she plays the titular pop star in the upcoming film\u00a0<em>Mother Mary<\/em>, the soundtrack for which will feature her singing songs co-written and co-produced by Charli xcx and Jack Antonoff.
