{"id":10004,"date":"2026-04-06T21:45:14","date_gmt":"2026-04-06T21:45:14","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/musictechohio.online\/site\/radiohead-coachella-kid-a-film\/"},"modified":"2026-04-06T21:45:14","modified_gmt":"2026-04-06T21:45:14","slug":"radiohead-coachella-kid-a-film","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/musictechohio.online\/site\/radiohead-coachella-kid-a-film\/","title":{"rendered":"Radiohead\u2019s Coachella Moment Is An Archival Film"},"content":{"rendered":"<div>\n<figure><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/static.spinmagazine.com\/files\/2025\/09\/EDP378-012_credit-Tom-Sheehan-scaled-1.jpg\" width=\"2560\" height=\"1703\" alt=\"\"><figcaption>(photo: Tom Sheehan).<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>Fans were justifiably confused last year when Radiohead <a href=\"https:\/\/www.spinmagazine.com\/2025\/09\/coachella-2025-lineup\/\">appeared on the Coachella lineup poster<\/a> as participants in something described as \u201cthe Bunker debut of\u00a0<em>Kid A Mnesia<\/em>.\u201d Just days before the festival begins in Indio, Ca., the famously mysterious group has finally offered some clarification.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cAt its center is a 75-minute, large format film made from thousands of fragments created by Thom Yorke and Stanley Donwood during the recording of <em>Kid A<\/em> and <em>Amnesiac<\/em>: sketches, paintings, collages, audio, recordings and handwritten notes,\u201d reads an <a href=\"https:\/\/www.instagram.com\/p\/DWzX2mUEhRQ\/?img_index=1\" target=\"_blank\">Instagram post<\/a> from the official Coachella account. <em>Kid A Mnesia<\/em> will be screened in a bespoke structure <a href=\"https:\/\/www.desertsun.com\/story\/entertainment\/coachella\/2026\/04\/02\/who-is-performing-at-coachella-2026-new-bunker-structure\/89427288007\/\" target=\"_blank\">still taking shape<\/a> on the Empire Polo Club grounds, but fans will need to secure free, timed-entry tickets through AXS. The band planned to launch a corresponding physical exhibition, but plans were derailed due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Now, it appears <em>Kid A Mnesia<\/em> will <a href=\"https:\/\/kida-mnesia.com\/\" target=\"_blank\">screen in other markets<\/a> after Coachella, but no details have been announced.<\/p>\n<p>Radiohead hasn\u2019t performed in the United States since 2018 and broke a seven-year break from the stage on a European tour last fall.
