\n\tChinese-American alt-pop singer-songwriter Emei <\/strong>signed with Atlantic Records<\/strong> in partnership with Ricky Reed<\/strong>\u2018s Nice Life Recording Company<\/strong>. The first release under the deal is the single \u201cNight at the Opera,\u201d the first offering from her upcoming Night at the Opera<\/em> EP set for release on June 12.<\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cAfter the first time I saw Emei perform to a sold out, sweaty club in San Francisco, I went to introduce myself and her first words were, \u2018Do you have any notes on the show?\u2019 Now, a year later, her ambition to execute at the highest level continues,\u201d said Reed, founder and CEO of Nice Life, in a statement. \u201cThat, paired with a deep vulnerability in her art, a scrappy DIY ethos, and a limitless love for her army of outsiders, is why we\u2019re so excited to welcome her into the family that is Nice Life and Atlantic Records.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tCAA <\/strong>signed singer, songwriter and actor Sara Bareilles<\/a><\/strong>. According to the agency, Bareilles has sold more than 3 million albums and 15 million singles in the U.S., while her songs have been streamed more than 3.5 billion times globally. The multi-hyphenate also composed the music and lyrics for the Broadway musical Waitress<\/em>, along with starring in the lead role on Broadway and the West End. She was nominated for a Tony for her performance as \u201cThe Baker\u2019s Wife\u201d in Into the Woods<\/em>.<\/p>\n

\n\tOn screen, Bareilles starred in the Emmy-nominated musical comedy series GIRLS5EVA <\/em>for three seasons. She additionally executive-produced and wrote original music for the J.J. Abrams-produced Apple musical drama series Little Voice<\/em>.<\/p>\n
