\u201cIt\u2019s a snapshot of what we\u2019re living through in 2026,\u201d says Brittany Howard. \u201cI look around and wonder how we got to a place where there\u2019s so much strain and so little support. I mean, it shouldn\u2019t be impossible to take off work so you can bring your child to the doctor \u2014 that\u2019s actually insane. My hope is that one day people will hear this song and say, \u2018Yeah, shit was crazy back then, but we made it through.\u2019\u201d\u00a0<\/p>\n

\u201cAmerican Dream\u201d follows \u201cAnother Life<\/a>\u201c, which marked Howard, Heath Fogg and Zac Cockrell\u2019s first new music for 10 years \u2014 and their debut for Island Records \u2014 paving the way for their third full-length in 2026 and first LP since 2015.<\/p>\n
