Celebrating 50 years since the first Rough Trade shop opened in West London, the iconic indie label will host a weekend of events at London’s Southbank in July, including exclusive live performances by Pulp, Scritti Politti and Caroline.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

Celebrating 50 years since the first Rough Trade shop opened in West London, the iconic indie label will host a weekend of events at London\u2019s Southbank in July, including exclusive live performances by Pulp, Scritti Politti and Caroline.<\/p>\n

Pulp will play the Royal Festival Hall on Saturday July 18, performing their latest album More<\/em> in full before exploring their back catalogue. On the same day, Scritti Politti will make a welcome return to the stage, playing two shows in Queen Elizabeth Hall \u2013 a matinee set at 3pm, and an evening show at 8pm.<\/p>\n

On Sunday July 19, Caroline will play the Queen Elizabeth Hall supported by My New Band Believe, while on the same afternoon Jarvis Cocker will introduce Ken Loach\u2019s classic 1969 film Kes<\/em> in the Royal Festival Hall, with the soundtrack being performed live by an orchestra.<\/p>\n

Additionally, An Evening With Rough Trade Books (Queen Elizabeth Hall, July 17) will see Kate Stables from This Is The Kit and Arab Strap\u2019s Aidan Moffat collaborating with authors signed to Rough Trade Books. The following day, the Purcell Rooms will host a dramatic treatment of Hannah Patterson\u2019s debut novel Ungone, alongside a live performance from Ana da Silva of The Raincoats.<\/p>\n

For all events except Pulp, a presale for Southbank Centre Members starts on Wednesday (April 15) at 2pm BST, before tickets go on general sale at 2pm the following day.<\/p>\n

A Pulp presale for Southbank Centre Members will take place from 10am on Friday (April 17) with a presale for Pulp\u2019s mailing list subscribers starting at 10am on Monday (April 20).
