\n\tThe sports world found another high-profile WAG \u2013 that stands for wives and girlfriends \u2013 in Megan Thee Stallion<\/a>, who started dating Dallas Mavericks shooting guard Klay Thompson in the summer of 2025.\u00a0<\/p>\n

\n\tAnd just like other pairings <\/a>between A-List musicians (Meg boasts three no. 1 hits on the Billboard Hot 100<\/a> as well as three Grammys) and athletic legends (Thompson earned four championship rings as a key part of the Golden State Warriors), the duo received a lot of attention for their coupling. Also similar to Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce, David and Victoria Beckham and Ciara and Russell Wilson, the rapper and basketball player faced plenty of criticism from sports fans \u2013 and commentators \u2013 as well.<\/p>\n

\n\tBut nothing phased the lovers when they were together. \u201cWe met and it was such a meet cute,\u201d Megan told People<\/em><\/a> in July. \u201cI won\u2019t tell you how and I won\u2019t tell you when, but it was a movie,\u201d adding that \u201che\u2019s the nicest person I\u2019ve ever met in my life.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tBetween golfing outings, games and plenty of PDA-packed posts on their social media accounts, Megan and Klay seemed more than comfortable sharing their journey with everyone, while still having time for their own careers. (Her single \u201cLover Girl\u201d \u2013 with the appropriately sexy and loved-up lyrics \u201cMy man, my man, my man, my baby, my baby\/ D\u2013kin\u2019 me down, spoilin\u2019 me, drivin\u2019 me crazy\u201d \u2013 dropped at the end of October 2025, and he returned to the court for his 13th season in the NBA the same month.)<\/p>\n

\n\tIn April 2026, though, the couple\u2019s roughly nine-month relationship ended<\/a>, with Meg claiming, \u201cb\u2014- I need a REAL break after this one.\u201d<\/p>\n
