\n\tDuring the artist\u2019s opening-night set Friday (April 24), showgoers report she was loudly interrupted ahead of singing \u201cSally\u2019s Pigeons\u201d from 1993\u2019s Hat Full of Stars<\/em> album. Lauper seemed to be having a storyteller moment \u2014 sharing a tidbit about the track with the audience \u2014 when someone in the crowd shouted out something unintelligible.<\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cI don\u2019t know what the f\u2014 you\u2019re saying, hun,\u201d Lauper said, as heard in a video recording from the concert posted by TMZ<\/a> on Saturday. \u201cBut please remember where you are, OK? Because if you\u2019re trying to shade me, b\u2014-, I\u2019m gonna come for you. I\u2019m from Brooklyn, and if I wanna f\u2014ing talk, I will do a tap dance if I f\u2014ing want.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cSorry, that of course is not part of my people skills,\u201d she joked after that.<\/p>\n

\n\tLauper\u2019s Live in Las Vegas show kicked off April 24, with further performances scheduled for April 25, April 29, May 1 and May 2. Though limited to five dates, it marks her career-first Vegas residency; it also gives fans another chance to see her perform live following her Farewell Tour, which wrapped last year.<\/p>\n

\n\tIn 2025, she was inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame.<\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cIt\u2019s a community of people, rockers that have changed the world,\u201d Lauper \u2014 who, besides being a Hall of Famer and Hot 100 chart topper (\u201cTime After Time,\u201d \u201cTrue Colours\u201d) is also a Grammy, Emmy and Tony winner \u2014 told Billboard<\/em><\/a> of the honor last year. \u201cHere\u2019s the thing: I still believe that rock \u2018n\u2019 roll can save the world. I just want people to remember that we did make a difference. We can make a difference if we band together. We must come together as a community and make light and bring people together to make change, to do the good work.\u201d<\/p>\n
