Seconds later, fans understood the entire sequence: the real \u201cGhetto Singer\u201d was already on the main stage, kicking off his show with the remix of \u201cParte &amp; Choke,\u201d the hit song by his Ecuadorian colleagues Jombriel and Alex Krack.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto  lrv-a-font-body-m   \">\n\tDressed in a yellow suit and sunglasses, and holding a microphone colored like the Cura\u00e7ao sunset, the artist appeared on stage in front of a crowd of 47,000 people. He followed with \u201cSQ\u201d (also known as \u201cW Sound 04\u201d), one of the most successful tracks from his sessions produced by Ovy On The Drums, and \u201cFiesta,\u201d a hit by Castro and Fariana that many may not know \u2014 but it has been a massive success in Colombian clubs across Antioquia and the Coffee Region.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto  lrv-a-font-body-m   \">\n\tStaying true to his Caribbean flow, Castro delivered hit after hit with dancehall and island-inspired sounds. First came \u201cSANKA\u201d (which also incorporates elements of kizomba) and \u201cBOOMBASTIK&lt;3\u201d \u2014 with their <a rel=\"noreferrer noopener nofollow\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.instagram.com\/reels\/DXk_79jDCNa\/\">respective guest<\/a> artists, Cura\u00e7ao\u2019s Dongo on the former and Italian artist Kybba on the latter. Then came \u201cBA BA BAD REMIX,\u201d which featured none other than Sean Paul, the Jamaican artist who once proclaimed himself the \u201cGlobal Ambassador of Dancehall.\u201d Paul, with a career spanning 25 years and dozens of hits, also performed classics \u201cLike Glue\u201d and \u201cTemperature\u201d at the Atanasio.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto  lrv-a-font-body-m   \">\n\tRayo and Toby brought the mode-up vibe of San Andr\u00e9s Island with \u201cMovimiento De Caderas\u201d and \u201cCalor.\u201d More dancehall hits and guests followed: Kapo joined to perform \u201cD\u00d3NDE\u201d and \u201cLA VILLA.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto  lrv-a-font-body-m   \">\n\tThen <a rel=\"noreferrer noopener nofollow\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.instagram.com\/reels\/DXleCTSjQpL\/\">came Maluma<\/a> to perform \u201cPa\u2019 la Seca,\u201d the song he recently released with Castro, as well as other hits from his own discography, including \u201cHaw\u00e1i\u201d and \u201cBorro Cassette.\u201d Maisak also joined to perform \u201cFDSR.\u201d\u00a0<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto  lrv-a-font-body-m   \">\n\tMounted on a jet ski, Castro glided over the crowd to a second stage, where a new phase of the concert began, and reminisced about songs from his earliest years, such as \u201cCositas al O\u00eddo.\u201d The first guest on this stage was Mora, who performed \u201cLa Inocente,\u201d his track with Feid from years ago, and \u201cMIL VIDAS.\u201d Hamilton also joined the stage, proudly waving the Cartagena flag and singing \u201cA Poca Luz\u201d and \u201c4 LIFE,\u201d his two collaborations with the night\u2019s star.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto  lrv-a-font-body-m   \">\n\tOther artists followed on the second stage, <a rel=\"noreferrer noopener nofollow\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.instagram.com\/reels\/DXmZqYykV8B\/\">including Aria Vega<\/a>, Altafulla (an influencer and winner of the reality show <em>La Casa De Los Famosos<\/em>, who has released songs with artists like Juan Duque in recent months), Jorge Celed\u00f3n and Zion \u2014 one of the first Puerto Rican artists to collaborate with Castro. Together, they performed \u201cENVIGADO\u201d from Castro\u2019s self-titled album.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto  lrv-a-font-body-m   \">\n\tBack on the main stage, Castro invited another artist from his early career, Andy Rivera, to reminisce about the golden days of \u201cMonumento \u2013 Remix.\u201d Sech also joined him to perform their hit collaboration \u201cNovio No.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto  lrv-a-font-body-m   \">\n\tAs the show neared its end, SOG, Ryan Castro\u2019s go-to producer, <a rel=\"noreferrer noopener nofollow\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.instagram.com\/reels\/DXllxACEYwq\/\">appeared to accompany<\/a> him on his merengue hit \u201cMujeriego,\u201d a staple of Colombian December celebrations. Castro\u2019s alter ego \u201cRichy\u201d \u2014 used for songs more aligned with Colombian party music \u2014 took the stage to perform tracks like \u201cLa Garrafa\u201d and \u201cMi Fortuna,\u201d the latter a hit from late last year that reached the top 10 on the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.billboard.com\/charts\/billboard-colombia-hot-100\/\">Billboard Colombia Hot 100<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto  lrv-a-font-body-m   \">\n\t\u201cEl Ritmo Que Nos Une,\u201d the soccer anthem that supported Colombia during the last Copa Am\u00e9rica and is expected to become an unofficial anthem for the upcoming World Cup, also made its way into the setlist.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto  lrv-a-font-body-m   \">\n\tFeid was another guest who couldn\u2019t be left out. Together, he and Castro performed their massive hit \u201cMonastery,\u201d a crucial track in both of their careers. But the night couldn\u2019t end without the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.instagram.com\/reels\/DXleuefDTee\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener nofollow\">arrival of J Balvin<\/a>, who shares what seems to be a genuine friendship with Castro. <\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto  lrv-a-font-body-m   \">\n\tBalvin had a special stage \u2014 a bus \u2014 from which both artists descended to the beat of Kris Kross\u2019 hip-hop classic \u201cJump,\u201d the melody that inspired their track \u201cTonto.\u201d Together, they performed that song as well as \u201cNiveles de Perreo\u201d and \u201cPal Agua,\u201d the three collaborations they\u2019ve released so far, just days ahead of their joint album <em>OMERT\u00c1<\/em>. The \u201cBoy from Medellin\u201d (Balvin) also delivered hits from his own repertoire, such as \u201cAy Vamos\u201d and \u201cAzul.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto  lrv-a-font-body-m   \">\n\tFinally, the night reached its climax <a rel=\"noreferrer noopener nofollow\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.instagram.com\/reels\/DXljgoeEesz\/\">with Baby Rasta and Gringo<\/a>, who performed their classic hit \u201cElla Se Contradice.\u201d It was no coincidence that Castro gave them the most prominent moment of the evening; the duo is making a comeback after more than a decade and promoting an acoustic album of their greatest hits.
