The title track will be out Friday (May 1) and follows the March release of lead single \u201cDon\u2019t Make Me Love U.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>As for \u201cBitch,\u201d it interpolates Meredith Brooks\u2019 1997 hit of the same name. \u201cReclaiming the word\u00a0<em>Bitch<\/em>\u00a0is power,\u201d Lizzo says. \u201cit\u2019s taking a label once used to diminish women and turning it into a declaration of confidence and unapologetic self-love. So many incredible women in music have used the word for positivity like Meredith Brooks and Missy Elliot. It was intended to be the follow-up to 2022\u2019s <em>Special<\/em>, which debuted at No. 2 on the <em>Billboard<\/em> 200. More recently, she staged <a href=\"https:\/\/www.spinmagazine.com\/2026\/01\/lizzo-blue-note-residencies\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">residencies<\/a>\u00a0at the Blue Note New York and Los Angeles where she showed off her flute skills in intimate settings and played to a huge crowd in early March at the Houston Livestock Show &amp; Rodeo.<\/p>\n<p>Lizzo has also penned her debut children\u2019s book, the flute-themed\u00a0<em><a href=\"https:\/\/www.simonandschuster.com\/books\/Lil-Lizzo-Meets-Sasha-B-Flootin\/Lizzo\/9781665951449\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Lil Lizzo Meets Sasha B. Flootin\u2019<\/a><\/em>. The project is illustrated by Mark Pett and is due Sept. 8 from Simon &amp; Schuster Books for Young Readers. Its story centers around \u201ca bubbly little girl who just wants to belong\u201d in her adventures with \u201ca smart and brassy flute who can\u2019t find her tune.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Based on Lizzo\u2019s own experiences as a young person, their adventures take them to the ocean, outer space and the jungle. The book will include a QR code unlocking an original Lizzo song written especially for\u00a0<em>Lil Lizzo Meets Sasha B.
