\n\tBarbra Streisand<\/a> has recruited Paul McCartney<\/a> to join forces for a new version of his 2012 single \u201cMy Valentine,\u201d which was released Friday (May 16) via Columbia Records. <\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cWhat if it rained? We didn\u2019t care\/ He said that someday soon the sun was gonna shine\/ And he was right, this love of mine\/ My valentine,\u201d Babs coos on the opening verse before Sir Paul, takes over to sing, \u201cAs days and nights would pass me by\/ I\u2019d tell myself that I was waiting for a sign\/ Then she appeared, a love so fine\/ My valentine\u201d over a lush combination of strings and piano.<\/p>\n

\n\tThe cozy love song originally served as the lead single from the former Beatle\u2019s 2012 solo album Kisses on the Bottom<\/em>, where it was one of just two original songs on the LP and featured a starry assist from Eric Clapton on guitar.<\/p>\n

\n\tNow, the reimagined version for two is the second preview of Streisand\u2019s upcoming duets album, The Secret of Life: Partners, Volume Two<\/em>, which is out June 27 and acts as a sequel 11 years in the making to her Grammy-nominated No. 1 LP Partners<\/em> from 2014.<\/p>\n

\n\tAhead of releasing the duet, the legendary Funny Girl<\/em> star shared a snap of the longtime friends on her Instagram, writing<\/a>, \u201cWhat a joy it was to record \u2018My Valentine\u2019 with @paulmccartney. To share time with him in the studio was truly special.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tStreisand\u2019s 37th studio set will also feature guest turns<\/a> from A-listers like Hozier (the previously released \u201cThe First Time Ever I Saw Your Face\u201d), James Taylor (\u201cSecret O\u2019 Life\u201d), Bob Dylan (\u201cThe Very Thought of You\u201d), Tim McGraw (\u201cI Love Us\u201d) and Mariah Carey and Ariana Grande (\u201cOne Heart, One Voice\u201d).<\/p>\n
