Every public-facing generative AI service\u2014whether text, image, audio, video, or multimodal\u2014must register before deployment. In April, <\/span><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/triviumchina.com\/\">Trivium<\/a><\/strong><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> posted <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/triviumchina.com\/research\/seeking-the-next-deepseek-what-chinas-generative-ai-registration-data-can-tell-us-about-chinas-ai-competitiveness\/\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><strong>an Excel file<\/strong><\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> that lists all the GATs in this registry. The Excel file captures essential metadata including registration number, approval date, tool name, company name, province, functional description, and business model (B2B or B2C). As of April 2025, it contains 3,739 generative algorithmic tools (GATs) from approximately 2,353 unique companies, growing by 250-300 entries monthly.
