\n\tAfter more than a decade away from the top 40 of the Billboard 200<\/a> albums chart, The Beach Boys<\/a> return to the region, as the greatest hits set Sounds of Summer: The Very Best of The Beach Boys<\/em> jumps 52-14 on the June 28-dated chart. The album\u2019s surge up the list follows the passing of the band\u2019s Brian Wilson<\/a> on June 11 at age 82.<\/p>\n

\n\tSounds of Summer<\/em> was released in 2003 and initially debuted and peaked at No. 16 on the June 28, 2003-dated chart. This week, the set climbs to a new peak \u2013 No. 14.<\/p>\n

\n\tThe Beach Boys were last in the top 40 of the Billboard 200 chart in 2012 when the then-new studio album That\u2019s Why God Made the Radio<\/em> debuted and peaked at No. 3 and spent four nonconsecutive weeks inside the top 40.<\/p>\n

\n\tIn total, The Beach Boys have placed 56 albums on the Billboard 200, with 22 of them reaching the top 40.<\/p>\n

\n\tSounds of Summer<\/em> is available in a standard 30-track edition and an expanded 80-track edition. All 30 of the songs on the standard version were top 40-charting hits on the Billboard Hot 100<\/a> chart, of the total 35 top 40s the group earned between 1962 and 2022. Songs on the standard edition include the No. 1s \u201cI Get Around,\u201d \u201cHelp Me, Rhonda,\u201d \u201cGood Vibrations\u201d and \u201cKokomo,\u201d alongside familiar favorites such as \u201cSurfin\u2019 U.S.A,\u201d \u201cCalifornia Girls\u201d and \u201cWouldn\u2019t It Be Nice.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tSounds of Summer<\/em> also makes its debut on Billboard<\/em>\u2019s Top Streaming Albums chart, bowing at No. 20.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n
