We have mended broken bones and broken hearts. But we have followed this road together, with each other, for each other, no matter what. Because in life, you just can\u2019t go it alone.\u201d<\/p>\n<figure class=\"wp-block-embed is-type-video is-provider-youtube wp-block-embed-youtube wp-embed-aspect-16-9 wp-has-aspect-ratio\">\n<div class=\"wp-block-embed__wrapper\">\n<lite-youtube videoid=\"3R-zrySoHNk\" style=\"bottom: 0; height: 100%; left: 0; position: absolute; right: 0; top: 0; width: 100%; max-width:100%;\"><\/lite-youtube>\n<\/div>\n<\/figure>\n<p>Grohl then saluted several former members of the group, as well as drummer Taylor Hawkins, who died suddenly in 2022. \u201cIt should go without saying that without the boundless energy of William Goldsmith, the seasoned wisdom of Franz Stahl and the thunderous wizardry of Josh Freese, this story would be incomplete, so we extend our heartfelt gratitude for the time, music  and memories that we shared with each of them over the years,\u201d he wrote. \u201cThank you, gentlemen.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Referencing Hawkins, Grohl said, \u201cyour name is spoken every day, sometimes with tears, sometimes with a smile, but you are still in everything we do, everywhere we go, forever. The enormity of your beautiful soul is only rivaled by the infinite longing we feel in your absence. We all miss you beyond words. Foo Fighters will forever include Taylor Hawkins in every note that we play, until we do finally reach our destination.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Grohl and company will\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.spin.com\/2025\/06\/foo-fighters-chappell-roan-corona-capital\/\">return to the road<\/a>\u00a0Oct. 2 in Jakarta for their first shows since Freese was let go.
