\n\tRested and ready, an exuberant Kelly Clarkson<\/a> finally made it to the stage of the Colosseum at Caesars Palace on Friday night (July 11) for the start of her new residency.<\/p>\n

\n\tClarkson is no stranger to Las Vegas stages. She previously had a show at PH Live in Planet Hollywood Resort & Casino in 2023, the sold-out engagement \u201cChemistry,\u201d which ended in 2024.<\/p>\n

\n\tStarting off Friday night with a bang, she immediately got deep with fans.<\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cIt took us a minute \u2026 took me a minute. I\u2019m so sorry if some of y\u2019all had tickets to last weekend\u2019s shows. We can\u2019t help our body sometimes \u2026 if we get sick. But thank you all so much for showing up,\u201d Clarkson\u2019s told the audience after opening the show with \u201cMe\u201d and \u201cWalkway,\u201d immediately addressing the elephant in the room: last week\u2019s abrupt cancellation<\/a> 90 minutes before the scheduled start of \u201cKelly Clarkson: Studio Sessions.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cI sound incredible because I canceled last weekend,\u201d the American Idol<\/em> champ commented after a few songs.<\/p>\n

\n\tThe two-hour-long run through her 23-year career, told through music and stories, proved exactly why the singer, songwriter and talk show host needed to be at full vocal capacity. The setlist<\/a> accounted for about 80 minutes of music, with Clarkson filling in around 40 more with banter and storytelling. The staging and musical arrangement put the audience inside a Clarkson recording session with more than two dozen studio musicians rotating in and out throughout the production.<\/p>\n

\n\tClarkson let loose with major vocal runs, candid emotional moments and even a \u201cglass of tequila\u201d from an audience member. Sixteen performances of \u201cKelly Clarkson: Studio Sessions\u201d are scheduled through Nov. 15, with new dates for the postponed July 4\u20135 shows still to be announced.<\/p>\n
