The long-bootlegged <em><a href=\"https:\/\/bn.lnk.to\/BNAlbum\" target=\"_blank\">Buckingham Nicks<\/a><\/em> is resurfacing on vinyl and will also be available digitally and on CD. The Nicks-sung \u201cCrying in the Night\u201d is available at DSPs now.<\/p>\n<p>In 1973, Fleetwood Mac released\u00a0<em>Mystery to Me<\/em>, their fifth album to feature Christine McVie and guitarist Bob Welch in tandem with drummer Mick Fleetwood and bassist John McVie. Simultaneously, unknown musicians Buckingham and Nicks were recording their Polydor debut with producer Keith Olsen at Sound City Studios in Los Angeles. The album is in many ways a sonic blueprint for Fleetwood Mac\u2019s biggest hits \u2014 far more than anything on the band\u2019s first nine albums \u2014 and Nicks\u2019 voice and persona were already fully formed on songs such as \u201cCrying in the Night\u201d and \u201cLong Distance Winner.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Fleetwood was so impressed with what he heard that he offered Buckingham the gig without an audition, but the guitarist insisted Nicks join him as well. The first Fleetwood Mac single featuring her on lead vocals, \u201cRhiannon,\u201d helped the band\u2019s 11th album climb to No. 1 on the\u00a0<em>Billboard<\/em>\u00a0200 more than a year after its release, setting the stage for the record-breaking success of the follow-up, <em>Rumours<\/em>, in 1977.<\/p>\n<p>In a rare show of solidarity following Buckingham\u2019s nasty exit from Fleetwood Mac in 2018, he, Nicks and Fleetwood all posted social media teasers for the <em>Buckingham Nicks<\/em> reissue in recent days, fueling speculation that the band was reuniting.
