\n\tSabrina Carpenter<\/a> has taken the notion of \u201cman\u2019s best friend\u201d quite literally in the weeks leading up to her seventh studio album, Man\u2019s Best Friend<\/em>. <\/p>\n

\n\tSet for release on Aug. 29 via Island Records, the LP\u2019s rollout has been anything but ordinary: Carpenter enlisted a golden retriever puppy and a pair of lucky fans to unveil her tracklist, two songs at a time, in a series of Instagram and Twitter posts that combined star power with canine cuteness.<\/p>\n

\n\tAbout a month after announcing the album, Carpenter began the tracklist reveal on July 23 by introducing track\u00a012, \u201cGoodbye,\u201d alongside a photo of fan Mariah cradling the puppy in her arms. In her caption she wrote, \u201ctrack\u00a0#12 is \u2018Goodbye\u2019 but mariah is helping us say hello to our tracklist reveal.\u201d <\/p>\n

\n\tTwo days later, Carpenter returned to the pup brigade to share track\u00a011 \u2014 \u201cHouse Tour\u201d \u2014 featuring fan Neriah in a similar snapshot, captioned \u201cneriah & a golden = home sweet home. track\u00a0#11 is \u2018House Tour.\u2019\u201d Both posts drew hundreds of thousands of likes, with fans applauding the innovative, heartwarming approach.<\/p>\n

\n\tCarpenter then took to X to amplify the moment, reposting excited reactions from @overdosedontun (\u201comggg sabrina asked me to reveal track\u00a011 \u2018House Tour\u2019 from Man\u2019s Best Friend !!!\u201d) and urging fellow fans to rally: \u201cTrack 11 stans rise.\u201d Beyond the puppy reveals, Carpenter has maintained momentum for Man\u2019s Best Friend<\/em> by leaning into playful fan interaction and capitalizing on her comedic timing \u2014 qualities that have earned her more than 5\u202fmillion Instagram followers and built genuine community around her music.<\/p>\n

\n\tIn the days that followed, titles \u201cDon\u2019t Worry I\u2019ll Make You Happy\u201d (track 10), \u201cGo Go Juice\u201d (track 9) and \u201cWhen Did You Get Hot?\u201d (track 8) were unveiled, with the countdown expected to continue.<\/p>\n

\n\tThe forthcoming album follows 2024\u2019s Short n\u2019 Sweet<\/em> and arrives amid Carpenter\u2019s latest lead single, \u201cManchild,\u201d released on June\u00a05. Man\u2019s Best Friend\u00a0<\/em>will drop almost exactly a year after Carpenter released breakthrough album\u00a0Short n\u2019 Sweet,\u00a0<\/em>which spent four weeks at No. 1 on the\u00a0Billboard 200<\/a>. So far, fans have gotten to hear only one song from the new record \u2014 \u201cManchild,\u201d which dropped in June and debuted atop the\u00a0Billboard Hot 100<\/a>, marking Carpenter\u2019s second-ever No. 1 song.<\/p>\n

\n\tIn keeping with the album\u2019s canine theme, Man\u2019s Best Friend<\/em> is available to preorder in multiple formats, including a Jacob Rochester\u2013painted picture disc that depicts Carpenter in a surreal tableau beside a suited figure. <\/p>\n
