{"id":4105,"date":"2025-07-30T15:30:00","date_gmt":"2025-07-30T15:30:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/musictechohio.online\/site\/jeff-buckley-live-footage-doc\/"},"modified":"2025-07-30T15:30:00","modified_gmt":"2025-07-30T15:30:00","slug":"jeff-buckley-live-footage-doc","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/musictechohio.online\/site\/jeff-buckley-live-footage-doc\/","title":{"rendered":"Rare Jeff Buckley Live Footage To Screen With New Doc"},"content":{"rendered":"<div>\n<figure><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/static.spin.com\/files\/2019\/08\/GettyImages-660738612-1566595616.jpg\" width=\"1024\" height=\"666\" alt=\"\"><\/figure>\n<p>Nearly 30 minutes of previously unreleased footage featuring the late Jeff Buckley performing solo at the Middle East in Cambridge, Ma., on Feb. 19, 1994, will be exclusively shown following theatrical screenings of the upcoming documentary <em><a href=\"https:\/\/www.spin.com\/2025\/07\/jeff-buckley-documentary-trailer\/\">It\u2019s Never Over, Jeff Buckley<\/a><\/em>, which arrives on Aug. 8.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cDiscovering this footage felt like a dream,\u201d said director Amy Berg. \u201cI was instantly transported into that room, witnessing a barely discovered virtuosic talent alongside just a handful of others. I was left speechless \u2014 and more than a few tears were shed. Most of his acclaim owes to his early solo shows in defunct downtown New York venues such as Sin-\u00e9 and his lone studio full-length,\u00a0<em>Grace<\/em>, which has been hailed as one of the best debut albums ever made.<\/p>\n<p>The Cambridge concert took place six months before the release of <em>Grace<\/em> and included several songs from that project, such as \u201cLover, You Should Have Come Over,\u201d \u201cMojo Pin\u201d and \u201cLast Goodbye.\u201d<\/p>\n<p><em>It\u2019s Never Over<\/em>\u00a0premiered at Sundance in January after years in the making \u00a0and will be available on HBO and HBO Max in the winter under the Music Box series umbrella.
