\n\tLady Gaga<\/a>\u2018s involvement in Wednesday<\/em> season 2 extends beyond acting to a brand-new song, Billboard<\/em> can confirm.<\/p>\n

\n\tGaga is expected to release a new song titled \u201cDead Dance\u201d next month, timed to her guest role on the new season, Variety<\/a><\/em> was the first to report. The outlet also reported that Andrew Watt and Cirkut \u2014 who worked with Gaga on her most recent album Mayhem<\/em> \u2014 are behind the new song.<\/p>\n

\n\tBillboard<\/em> has reached out to reps for Lady Gaga and Netflix for more details.<\/p>\n

\n\tBack in May, Netflix confirmed that Gaga would appear in season 2 of Wednesday<\/em>, the hit series starring Jenna Ortega as Wednesday Addams, playing \u201cthe mysterious and enigmatic Rosaline Rotwood, a legendary Nevermore teacher who crosses paths with Wednesday.\u201d The streaming service announced the news of Gaga as guest star at its Tudum fan event at the Kia Forum in Los Angeles on May 31.<\/p>\n

\n\tGaga also took the stage at the event for a Wednesday-themed set that had her emerging from a coffin with a lid that read \u201cHERE LIES THE MONSTER QUEEN.\u201d She performed the on-theme\u00a0Mayhem<\/em>\u00a0tracks \u201cZombieboy\u201d and \u201cAbracadabra\u201d before returning to her coffin, and the middle of her mini-set included a dance performance to The Cramps\u2019 \u201cGoo Goo Muck,\u201d inspired by the viral dance scene from Wednesday<\/em>\u2018s first season.<\/p>\n

\n\tBack in 2022, fans inspired by the\u00a0Wednesday<\/em>\u00a0scene uploaded videos of themselves performing the dance to TikTok and other platforms, but many Little Monsters swapped out the audio of \u201cGoo Goo Muck\u201d with a sped-up version of Gaga\u2019s \u201cBloody Mary\u201d \u2014\u00a0including the pop star herself<\/a>\u00a0after she caught onto the trend. Gaga\u2019s association to the show now continues with the season 2 acting role and new song.<\/p>\n

\n\tAccording to Variety<\/em>, a music video will also be released for the song in September as well. Last month, it was reported that Gaga was spotted with Wednesday<\/em> director Tim Burton on the Island of the Dolls, south of Mexico City, but there\u2019s no word whether that is related to the new song or video.<\/p>\n

\n\tThe first Wednesday<\/em> season 2 episodes arrive (naturally) on Wednesday to Netflix. A second batch is due Sept. 3, which will seemingly include Gaga\u2019s appearance on the show.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n
