This playlist includes some pickings from the first batch &#8211; as usual, a mix of old faces (including two from our recent Album Of The Month stars,<strong> Big Thief<\/strong>) and new discoveries. Chief among the latest finds are <strong>Greazy Alice<\/strong>, who I imagine you\u2019ll read plenty about soon in Uncut\u2026<\/p>\n<p>Not for this playlist, but there\u2019s also a bunch of archival reissues coming from around the same period \u2013 early\/mid 00s \u2013 including <strong>Cripple Crow<\/strong>, <strong>The Disintegration Loops<\/strong> and <strong>These Were The Earlies<\/strong>. At the risk of singing our own praises, these records were widely championed at Uncut at the time and it\u2019s gratifying to discover how great they still sound. We were doing something right then \u2013 and I hope from the selection below it\u2019s evident that we still are.<\/p>\n<p>Anyway, we bookend this Playlist with two artists you can read about in the new <strong>Uncut<\/strong>: <strong>Ethel Cain<\/strong> and <strong>Joan Shelley<\/strong>.
