\n\tLady Gaga<\/a> announced late Wednesday (Sept. 3) that she had to postpone her Mayhem Ball Tour stop in Miami after fans had already packed Kaseya Center for the show.<\/p>\n

\n\tShe revealed that her voice was strained during rehearsals on Tuesday night and that it hadn\u2019t improved during her warm-up ahead of Wednesday night\u2019s show.<\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cHi everyone I am really so so sorry but I need to postpone tonight\u2019s show in Miami,\u201d Gaga wrote in an all-caps message posted to her Instagram Stories<\/a>. \u201cDuring rehearsal last night and my vocal warmup tonight my voice was extremely strained and both my [doctor] and vocal coach have advised me not to go on because of the risk it poses.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tIn her message, Gaga expressed just how \u201cagonizing\u201d the decision was for her to make, but she couldn\u2019t ignore the potential for long-term damage to her voice.<\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cI want to be hardcore and just push through this for you but I don\u2019t want to risk long term or permanent damage on my vocal cords,\u201d Gaga wrote. \u201cThere is a significant risk based on all our combined experience with a show like ours and as you know I sing live every night \u2013and even though this was a hard and agonizing decision I would be more afraid of the long term implications on my voice. I hope you can forgive me and accept my sincerest apologies for any disappointment, let down, inconvenience. I am so so sorry. I tried so hard to avoid this. I take serious care of myself to be able to put on this highly demanding show. I love my fans so much, respect you and hope you can accept my sincere regretful apology.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tTo end the message, Gaga assured fans: \u201cWe are trying to reschedule the show as quickly as possible.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tVideos<\/a> on social media showed fans pouring out of Miami\u2019s Kaseya Center after being informed of the last-minute postponement.<\/p>\n

\n\tGaga kicked off her Mayhem Ball Tour in Las Vegas<\/a> in July and has U.S. dates scheduled through Sept. 18 in Chicago. Her international dates \u2014 with stops in Europe, Australia and Asia \u2014 go through Jan. 30.<\/p>\n

\n\tNext up, Gaga is scheduled for two more dates at New York\u2019s Madison Square Garden<\/a> this weekend \u2014 on Saturday and Sunday \u2014 as well as a performance on Sunday night\u2019s MTV Video Music Awards<\/a>.<\/p>\n

\n\tEarlier Wednesday, Gaga dropped \u201cThe Dead Dance,\u201d<\/a> featured in the second season of Wednesday<\/em>, along with a Tim Burton-directed music video and a deluxe edition of her most recent Mayhem<\/em> album. <\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n
