\n\tJohn Fogerty<\/a>\u2019s new Legacy: The Creedence Clearwater Revival Years (John\u2019s Version)<\/em> collection, a set of re-recorded hits from his years as frontman of Creedence Clearwater Revival, makes a top 10 debut on Billboard<\/em>\u2019s Top Album Sales<\/a> chart. The set launches at No. 9 with nearly 8,000 copies sold in the United States in the week ending Aug. 28, according to Luminate.<\/p>\n

\n\tThe project also bows on the Americana\/Folk Albums chart (No. 13) and Independent Albums (No. 35).<\/p>\n

\n\tCreedence Clearwater Revival earned 16 hits on the Billboard Hot 100 chart from 1968-76, including nine top 10s (six of which peaked at No. 2). Among Creedence\u2019s Hot 100 hits that Fogerty re-recorded for the new album: \u201cProud Mary,\u201d \u201cBad Moon Rising,\u201d \u201cDown on the Corner\u201d and \u201cUp Around the Bend\u201d \u2014 all of which were top five-charting singles.<\/p>\n

\n\tBillboard<\/em>\u2019s Top Album Sales<\/a> chart ranks the top-selling albums of the week based only on traditional album sales. The chart\u2019s history dates back to May 25, 1991, the first week Billboard<\/em> began tabulating charts with electronically monitored piece count information from SoundScan, now Luminate. Pure album sales were the sole measurement utilized by the Billboard 200<\/a> albums chart through the list dated Dec. 6, 2014, after which that chart switched to a methodology that blends album sales with track equivalent album (TEA) units and streaming equivalent album (SEA) units.<\/p>\n

\n\tStray Kids collect its seventh No. 1 on Top Album Sales, as KARMA<\/em> bows atop the list with the second-largest sales week of 2025: 296,000 copies sold. Only the debut frame of The Weeknd\u2019s Hurry Up Tomorrow<\/em> posted a bigger sales week, when it started with 359,000.<\/p>\n

\n\tKARMA and Legacy are two of eight debuts or reentrys in the top 10 this week, joined by Laufey\u2019s A Matter of Time<\/em> (No. 2 debut), Deftones\u2019 private music<\/em> (No. 3 debut), Tyler, The Creator\u2019s Cherry Bomb<\/em> (No. 4 reentry), Three Days Grace\u2019s Alienation<\/em> (No. 6 debut), The Who\u2019s Live at the Oval, 1971<\/em> (No. 7 debut) and The Warning\u2019s Live From Auditorio Nacional, CDMX<\/em> (No. 8 debut). The only holdovers in the top 10 are the KPop Demon Hunters<\/em> soundtrack (which climbs 9-5) and TOMORROW X TOGETHER\u2019s chart-topping The Star Chapter : \u00a0TOGETHER<\/em> (falling 5-10).<\/p>\n
