Leon Thomas<\/a> headlined Billboard<\/em>\u2019s R&B\/Hip-Hop LIVE concert at Webster Hall in New York City on Friday (Sept. 5).<\/p>\n

The fast-rising R&B star \u2014 who recently received the Breakthrough of the Year Award<\/a> at Billboard<\/em>\u2019s R&B\/Hip-Hop Power Players 2025 event \u2014 was one of several artists to take the stage at the free show.<\/p>\n

Presented by State Farm, Ralph Lauren and UnitedMasters, the packed event served as the centerpiece of Billboard<\/em>\u2019s Hip-Hop & R&B Week. The night\u2019s lineup also featured GELO<\/a>, Odeal<\/a>, Ravyn Lenae<\/a> and Armanii.<\/p>\n

\u201cBillboard<\/em> has always been at the forefront of recognizing and promoting emerging talent,\u201d Billboard<\/em> CEO Mike Van said ahead of the show. \u201cThis concert is a testament to the vibrant future of hip-hop and R&B and our commitment to celebrating artists who are shaping the music landscape.\u201d<\/p>\n

Armanii launched the night<\/a> with his blend of dancehall and hip-hop, performing crowd-pleasers like \u201c8:00 PM\u201d and \u201cJUMP (Bounce).\u201d GELO, recently named<\/a> Billboard<\/em>\u2018s Hip-Hop Rookie of the Year, followed with tracks from his debut album, League of My Own<\/em>. Billboard<\/em>\u2019s African Rookie of the Year<\/a>, Odeal, then energized the crowd with performances of \u201cSoh-Soh,\u201d \u201cLondon Summers\u201d and \u201cMiami.\u201d Lenae later brought a mystical calm to the room with renditions of \u201cOne Wish\u201d and \u201cLove Me Not.\u201d<\/p>\n

Closing out the evening, Thomas delivered a powerful headlining set, highlighted by a surprise appearance from Ty Dolla $ign, who joined him on stage to perform his verse on \u201cFar Fetched\u201d and sing \u201cCarnival,\u201d his Billboard Hot 100 chart-topping hit from Vultures 1.<\/em><\/p>\n

In addition to the live performances, fans enjoyed interactive brand experiences, including a State Farm-sponsored custom T-shirt printing station and a L\u2019Or\u00e9al\u2013Ralph\u2019s Club photo booth.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n
