As you might have noticed from the chatter on our socials, Tom hosted our regular Q&amp;As, which this year were with <strong>Matt Berninger<\/strong>, <strong>Kristin Hersh<\/strong> and <strong>Christopher Owens<\/strong>. All in all, a very busy weekend \u2013 so huge thanks to all three of them for all their hard work (and to <strong>Marc Jones<\/strong> for all the behind-the-scenes support).<\/p>\n<p>End Of The Road, of course, marks the end of the festival season \u2013 of which there were many highlights, from <strong>Neil Young<\/strong> in a field beside the sea in Copenhagen to <strong>Pulp<\/strong> at Glastonbury, celebrating 30 years since their triumphant headline slot on the Pyramid Stage. In many ways, 2025 has been Pulp\u2019s year: a new (<a href=\"https:\/\/www.uncut.co.uk\/reviews\/pulp-more-150009\/\">No <\/a><a href=\"https:\/\/www.uncut.co.uk\/reviews\/pulp-more-150009\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">1<\/a>) album, a world tour, a handsome reissue for <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.uncut.co.uk\/news\/pulp-announce-30th-anniversary-reissue-of-different-class-151225\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Different Class<\/a><\/strong> due next month and now their first Uncut cover. You can dig into their 40 greatest songs \u2013 as chosen by Jarvis, Nick, Mark and Candida \u2013 on page 86. <\/p>\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-enthusiasm-never-hurt-anybody-really\">\u201cEnthusiasm never hurt anybody, really\u2026\u201d<\/h2>\n<p>Not for the first time, I\u2019m a little uncertain where to direct you next \u2013 there\u2019s so much good stuff in this issue \u2013 but do please check out <strong>Brian Howe<\/strong>\u2019s profile of rising indie-Americana stars <strong>Wednesday<\/strong>, <strong>Alastair McKay<\/strong>\u2019s showstopping interview with <strong>Millie Jackson<\/strong> and <strong>Jon Dale<\/strong>\u2019s celebration of visionary frontman <strong>Tim Smith<\/strong> and the band he led until his death, <strong>Cardiacs<\/strong>. There\u2019s catchups with <strong>Robert Plant<\/strong>, <strong>Jeff Tweedy<\/strong>, <strong>Neko Case<\/strong> and plenty more, as you\u2019d imagine.<\/p>\n<p>I\u2019ll leave you, at any rate, with some wise words from Plant that pretty much sum up our own approach as we strive to bring you the very best music out there: \u201cEnthusiasm never hurt anybody, really. It\u2019s just all constantly in motion.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>See you next month.
