\n\tHarry Styles<\/a> ran the\u00a0Berlin Marathon\u00a0in under three hours on Sunday (Sept. 21).<\/p>\n

\n\tOrganizers confirmed to news agency dpa that Styles took part. Local newspaper Der Tagesspiegel <\/em>was the first to report his participation.<\/p>\n

\n\tThe 31-year-old former member of boy band One Direction<\/a> was among some 55,000 runners taking part in the race on what is widely regarded as the fastest marathon track in the world.<\/p>\n

\n\tStyles \u2014 reportedly using the pseudonym Sted Sarandos and wearing a headband and sunglasses \u2014 completed the route in two hours, 59 minutes, 13 seconds. A sub-3 hour marathon is a coveted mark for many marathon runners.<\/p>\n

\n\tDer Tagesspiegel<\/em> reported that Styles was already spotted running in Berlin in preparation for Sunday\u2019s race.<\/p>\n

\n\tStyles was in a photo at the finish with Richard Whitehead, a two-time gold medal winner over 200 meters at the Paralympic Games. Whitehead, who is on a quest to run 20 marathons this year, posted the\u00a0photo on Instagram<\/a>.<\/p>\n

\n\tLast month he was spotted training in London<\/a>, jogging through Hyde Park.<\/p>\n

\n\tThe star previously\u00a0completed the Tokyo Marathon<\/a>, finishing 6,010th overall. According to online records, his net time came in around three hours and 24 minutes, with an average pace of about 7:47 per mile \u2014 meaning he bested his marathon run time in Berlin.<\/p>\n

\n\tStyles\u2019\u00a0debut album, Harry Styles<\/em>, topped the Billboard 200 in the U.S., and album charts in Britain and several other countries. His second album, Fine Line<\/em>, appeared in 2019, became his second solo No. 1 album, and included the Grammy-winning \u201cWatermelon Sugar.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n
