\n\tYoung Thug <\/a>and Gunna<\/a> have remained distanced since both reached plea deals in the YSL RICO case. <\/a>Thug joined the It\u2019s Up There Podcast<\/em> on Monday (Sept. 29), where he explained why he can\u2019t have Gunna around him anymore, while he wishes him the best in his career.<\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cI\u2019m not gonna be able to look at [Gunna] the same no matter what,\u201d he said. \u201cWe can go get a trillion dollars together. I\u2019m not gonna be able to look at you the way I looked at you before we went to jail. I love you to death. I know you love me. We love each other to death, but we just going our own ways.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tThug continued: \u201cI ain\u2019t gonna be able to look at you the same, I\u2019d feel like a fake n\u2014a just having you around me because\u2026 I already look at you a certain type of way. And I got a right to. For the sake of your heart and your mind and the thought process you having now, go get your money, man, take care of your family and do what you need to do.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tGunna reached an Alford plea<\/a> in December 2022 to secure his release from jail, which saw him admit that YSL is a gang. <\/p>\n

\n\tThugger remained behind bars until reaching a plea deal<\/a> in October 2024, and he hasn\u2019t been in contact with his YSL prot\u00e9g\u00e9 since coming home.<\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cIt ain\u2019t even no sense for you to try to be back cool with me because we gonna be around each other and it\u2019s gonna be weird,\u201d he said. \u201cThe dap-up gonna be different, everythin gon\u2019 be different because I already look at it like a different situation. People think I\u2019m bitter because I don\u2019t want to be friends.\u201d <\/p>\n

\n\tThug added: \u201cI\u2019ma be sitting around you and I\u2019ma just cry. I\u2019ma feel a certain type of way sitting around you because I know how I felt about you. I know what I did with you and for you. You know all the times we shared. We done cried together before\u2026 I\u2019ma be around you in the future and be crying every God damn day\u2026 I\u2019m over it.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tIn the future, if Thug and Gunna happen to be in the same place, fans shouldn\u2019t expect any sort of friendly embrace between the former collaborators, but there won\u2019t be any disrespect either.<\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cIf I be around [you] and be happy and pretend, I\u2019mma just feel like a f\u2014 n\u2014a,\u201d he said. \u201cI\u2019mma feel like not a real person. I gotta be real, bruh.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tThere\u2019s no hard feelings for Thug with Gunna or anyone else who was arrested as part of the YSL RICO trial. \u201cI still want you to eat, just not at my table,\u201d Thug continued. <\/p>\n

\n\tYoung Thug explained how he never looked at his relationship with Gunna as a business deal since he was signed to YSL. \u201cThe only reason why I\u2019m looking at it like some bullsh\u2013 is because you my brother,\u201d he said. \u201cOn top of that, you my man, you my best friend.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tHe took Gunna\u2019s Alford plea as a betrayal and as if Gunna was putting his career ahead of their relationship outside of business. <\/p>\n

\n\tThug returned to the music scene with his UY SCUTI<\/em> album<\/a> on Friday (Sept. 26), which features assists from Future<\/a>,\u00a0Cardi B<\/a>,\u00a0Travis Scott,<\/a>\u00a0Mariah the Scientist<\/a>,\u00a0T.I.<\/a>,\u00a0Ken Carson<\/a>,\u00a0Sexyy Red,<\/a>\u00a0Lil Baby<\/a>\u00a0and former foe\u00a0YFN Lucci.<\/a><\/p>\n
