Back in January, who would have predicted that our top three New Albums Of The Year would all be by artists enjoying unexpected, but fruitful, second acts? Or how yet another new generation of Americana artists are making their own fresh currency out of deeply respected traditions?

I don’t want to give too much away, so I’d advise you to drop everything now and head to page 53, where our Review Of 2025 begins. There’s New Albums, Reissues, Compilations, Films, Music Documentaries and Books as well as some very special joint interviews. Please let us know what your favourite new albums of 2025 are and we’ll print a selection in Feedback.
