Fresh from directing several episodes of and serving as an executive producer on the HBO series <em>I Love L.A.<\/em>, Scafaria will next direct the A24 comedy <em>Jonty<\/em>, starring Jesse Plemons.<\/p>\n<p><em>Alice in Wonderland<\/em> has long proved its mettle as box-office source material, most recently with an eponymous 2010 Tim Burton-directed film that grossed more than $1 billion around the world.
