\n\tASCAP celebrated the winners at an invitation-only party on Monday (Nov. 17) in Nashville. ASCAP chairman of the board and president Paul Williams<\/a>, ASCAP CEO Elizabeth Matthews<\/strong>, ASCAP executive vp and head of creative membership Nicole George-Middleton<\/strong> and ASCAP vp of Nashville membership Mike Sistad<\/strong> handed out awards.<\/p>\n

\n\tAmong ASCAP\u2019s most-performed country songs of the year, penned by Gorley, are \u201cFix What You Didn\u2019t Break\u201d (Nate Smith), \u201cI Am Not Okay\u201d (Jelly Roll), \u201cLiar\u201d (Jelly Roll) and \u201cPark\u201d (Tyler Hubbard). In June, Gorley was inducted into the Songwriters Hall of Fame.<\/p>\n

\n\tShaboozey received the ASCAP country music songwriter\/artist of the year honor. In addition to his \u201cA Bar Song (Tipsy)\u201d earning ASCAP\u2019s country music song of the year, his \u201cGood News\u201d (co-written by Sean Cook) is also among ASCAP\u2019s most-performed country songs of the year.<\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cA Bar Song (Tipsy)\u201d was co-written by Sean Cook, Jerrell \u201cJ-Kwon\u201d Jones, Joe Capo Kent and Mark \u201cTarboy\u201d Williams. It was published by Sony Music Publishing, Essancy Music, Seeker Music, Range Music Publishing, Tarpo Music Publishing, Hood Hop Music, Kreshendo and Warner Chappell Music. The song topped the Billboard Hot 100 for 19 weeks, tying Lil Nas X\u2019s \u201cOld Town Road\u201d (featuring Billy Ray Cyrus) as the longest-running No. 1 song in Hot 100 history (which dates to 1958).<\/p>\n

\n\tAdditionally, \u201cA Bar Song (Tipsy)\u201d won a CMA Award for single of the year, a Billboard Music Award for top country song and top-selling song, and a Brit Award for international song of the year. Shaboozey is nominated for new artist of the year at Wednesday\u2019s CMA Awards and recently received Grammy nominations for best country solo performance, best country duo\/group performance and best country song.<\/p>\n

\n\tSony Music Publishing is the ASCAP country music publisher of the year. Among their awarded titles are \u201cA Bar Song (Tipsy)\u201d for the second consecutive year, \u201cFix What You Didn\u2019t Break\u201d (Nate Smith), \u201cHard Fought Hallelujah\u201d (Brandon Lake, Jelly Roll), \u201cGood News\u201d (Shaboozey), \u201cCowboys Cry Too\u201d (Kelsea Ballerini, Noah Kahan), \u201cComing Home\u201d (Old Dominion), \u201cCountry House\u201d (Sam Hunt), \u201cI Am Not Okay\u201d (Jelly Roll), \u201c4x4xU\u201d (Lainey Wilson) and \u201cLove You, Miss You, Mean It\u201d (Luke Bryan).<\/p>\n

\n\tThe ASCAP writers and publishers of the most-performed Christian<\/a> music songs also received their awards at the celebration.<\/p>\n
