\n\tMiley Cyrus<\/a> is putting family first. On the heels of dropping her new single, the ballad \u201cMore to Lose,\u201d the singer released a statement on Saturday (May 10) in response to rumors of a rift with parents Tish and Billy Ray.<\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cI rarely comment on rumors,\u201d Miley noted in an update shared via Instagram Story<\/a> on her official account. \u201cBut my mama and I are too tight for anything to ever come between us. She\u2019s my best friend.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cLike a lot of moms, she doesn\u2019t know how to work her phone and somehow unfollowed me\u2013simple, coincidental, and uninteresting,\u201d she said, in reference to murmurs that Tish had reportedly unfollowed her on the social media app earlier this week. <\/p>\n

\n\tHer statement continued: \u201cMy dad and I have had our challenges over the years. Now, in my thirties, family is my priority above all else. I\u2019m at peace knowing bridges have been built and time has done a lot of healing.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cGrateful for the good health and love that flows through my family,\u201d Miley concluded her message.<\/p>\n

\n\tFans had expressed concern about the alleged unfollowing in various comments on Tish\u2019s recent Instagram posts, to which she responded that she didn\u2019t know she\u2019d apparently unfollowed her daughter. \u201chave no idea how that happened but it\u2019s fixed now!\u201d read Tish\u2019s reply to one of those comments<\/a> on Wednesday, May 7. (At press time on Saturday, she follows Miley on Instagram.)<\/p>\n

\n\tOn Wednesday, Billy Ray had posted a video clip with Miley performing<\/a> at the piano, along with the caption, \u201cCan\u2019t wait to see this young lady. Crazy how time flies.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cI tried to keep it a singular take,\u201d she shared with fans about recording the emotional track<\/a> \u201cMore to Lose.\u201d \u201cIt\u2019s really a song that\u2019s more of a story, and I never want that to be interrupted or overthought or chasing perfection. I never wanted \u2018More to Lose\u2019 to be perfect, I wanted it to sound beautiful and emotional.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tDuring a special evening with Spotify last week, Cyrus gave more insight into Something Beautiful<\/em><\/a>, revealing the album\u2019s overarching theme as \u201cbeauty, but not what beauty represents by a standard of someone else\u2019s idea.\u201d In another sound-bite from the event, she said \u2014 to cheers from the audience \u2014 \u201cOn a scale of, I think, one to gay, how gay is this album? It\u2019s not only my best album, but also my gayest.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n
