{"id":6903,"date":"2025-11-23T06:19:00","date_gmt":"2025-11-23T06:19:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/musictechohio.online\/site\/donald-glover-stroke-flog-gnaw\/"},"modified":"2025-11-23T06:19:00","modified_gmt":"2025-11-23T06:19:00","slug":"donald-glover-stroke-flog-gnaw","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/musictechohio.online\/site\/donald-glover-stroke-flog-gnaw\/","title":{"rendered":"Donald Glover Reveals He Had A Stroke"},"content":{"rendered":"<div>\n<figure><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/static.spin.com\/files\/2024\/07\/BANDO_COVER_hires-scaled.jpg\" width=\"2560\" height=\"2560\" alt=\"Childish Gambino Bando Stone &amp; The New World'\"><figcaption>Donald Glover (photo: RCA Records).<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>When Donald Glover <a href=\"https:\/\/www.spin.com\/2024\/09\/donald-glover-postpones-childish-gambino-tour\/\">canceled<\/a> an in-progress Childish Gambino tour in September 2024, he revealed only that he did so\u00a0\u201cto focus on my physical health for a few weeks.\u201d Now, the musician\/actor has detailed the true nature of his medical issues while performing at Tyler, the Creator\u2019s Camp Flog Gnaw last night (Nov. 22).<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI had a really bad pain in my head in Louisiana, and I did the show anyway,\u201d he said. \u201cI couldn\u2019t really see well, so when we went to Houston, I went to the hospital, and the doctor was like, \u2018you had a stroke.\u2019 And the first thing I thought was like, \u2018oh, here I am still copying Jamie Foxx.\u2019 That\u2019s really like the second thing. So I had this surgery, and then I had to have another surgery.\u201d The New World tour began a month earlier in Oklahoma City and drew strong reviews for its stage design and use of technology. It came on the heels of what Glover said will be the final Childish Gambino album,\u00a0<em>Bando Stone and the New World<\/em>, as well as a film of the same name.<\/p>\n<p>Despite these setbacks, the artist\u2019s first show in more than a year seemed to go off without a hitch, and even featured the live debut of \u201cPsilocybae (Millennial Love)\u201d from 2024\u2019s <em>Atavista<\/em> and first-time cover of Outkast\u2019s \u201cProtoype\u201d in tandem with acclaimed Swedish composer Ludwig G\u00f6ransson. <\/p>\n<p>\u201cThey say everybody has two lives, and the second life starts when you realize you have one,\u201d Glover said. \u201cYou have one life, guys. You should be living your life how you want.
