\n\tKata Hay \u2014 an aspiring singer who competed on The Voice<\/em> in 2016 \u2014 was arrested Wednesday on a vehicular homicide warrant, the Goodlettsville Police Department in Tennessee confirmed.<\/p>\n

\n\tEarlier in the week, police released a photo of Hay (real name: Kata Huddleston) on Facebook<\/a> and asked for the public\u2019s assistance in locating her. \u201cWe have reason to believe that she may be enroute to Oklahoma and traveling with a white male and quite possibly towing a large camper,\u201d the post reads in part.<\/p>\n

\n\tThe Oklahoma native was picked up in her home state early Wednesday morning by a local sheriff\u2019s deputy and arrested on the Tennessee warrant.<\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cThe Goodlettsville Police Department would like to thank the multitude of citizens who called in with tips as to the location of Ms. Huddleston,\u201d a follow-up Facebook<\/a> post reads. \u201cAs a direct result we are pleased to announce that she was arrested early this morning in Oklahoma where she will be extradited back to Davidson County.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tIn addition to the vehicular homicide warrant, Hay has an open DUI case and is charged with leaving the scene of an accident with property damage estimated to be more than $1,500, and is accused of driving with an open container of alcohol, all stemming from a Dec. 10 incident, according to TMZ<\/em><\/a>.<\/p>\n

\n\tHay was also arrested and convicted in 2022 for having sexual contact with a minor and was sentenced to six months in jail.<\/p>\n

\n\tDuring her blind audition for The Voice<\/em> season 10, three of the four coaches turned their chairs for Hay\u2019s performance of Gretchen Wilson\u2019s \u201cRedneck Woman\u201d: Pharrell Williams, Adam Levine and her eventual coach Christina Aguilera. Her audition<\/a> made headlines when she admitted that Aguilera was her \u201cfirst girl crush\u201d and they shared an onstage kiss. Hay made it through the battle and knockout rounds to the top 20 before being eliminated in week 1 of the live playoffs.<\/p>\n

\n\tHay will go before a district court judge in Oklahoma on Monday to sign a waiver of extradition, according to TMZ<\/em>.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n
