{"id":7868,"date":"2026-01-06T20:49:50","date_gmt":"2026-01-06T20:49:50","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/musictechohio.online\/site\/live-grok-nonconsensual-images\/"},"modified":"2026-01-06T20:49:50","modified_gmt":"2026-01-06T20:49:50","slug":"live-grok-nonconsensual-images","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/musictechohio.online\/site\/live-grok-nonconsensual-images\/","title":{"rendered":"Live Coverage: Is Grok Still Being Used to Create Nonconsensual Sexual Images of Women and Girls?"},"content":{"rendered":"<div>\n<p class=\"article-paragraph skip\">Grok, the flagship chatbot created by the Elon Musk-founded AI venture xAI and infused into X-formerly-Twitter \u2014\u00a0a platform also owned by Elon Musk \u2014\u00a0continues to be used by trollish misogynists, pedophiles, and other freaks of the digital gutters to non-consensually undress images of women and, even more horrifyingly, underage girls.<\/p>\n<p class=\"article-paragraph skip\">The women and girls targeted in these images range from celebrities and public figures to many non-famous private citizens who are often just average web users. As <a href=\"https:\/\/futurism.com\/future-society\/grok-violence-women\"><em>Futurism<\/em> reported<\/a>, some of the AI images generated by Grok and automatically published to X were specifically altered to depict real women in violent scenarios, including scenes of sexual abuse, humiliation, physical injury, kidnapping<strong> <\/strong>and insinuated murder.<\/p>\n<p class=\"article-paragraph skip\">Because Grok is integrated into X, this growing pile of nonconsensual and seemingly illegal images are automatically published directly to the social media platform \u2014\u00a0and thus are disseminated to the open web, in plain view, visible to pretty much anyone. As it stands, X and xAI have yet to take any meaningful action to stem the tide.<\/p>\n<p class=\"article-paragraph skip\">Below is a timeline of how this story has so far unfolded, and which we\u2019ll continue to update as we follow whether X and xAI take action against this flood of harmful content.<\/p>\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>January 5, 2026: <\/strong>An online creator who was targeted by nonconsensual sexual deepfakes <a href=\"https:\/\/www.thecut.com\/article\/elon-musk-grok-sexual-images-ashley-st-clair.html\" rel=\"nofollow\">told <em>The Cut<\/em><\/a> that being targeted by Grok-generated harassment was \u201cscary,\u201d and that \u201cit was uncomfortable to have that power asserted over you.\u201d She added that it felt like a \u201cdigital version\u201d of a \u201csexual assault.\u201d<\/li>\n<li><strong>January 5, 2026: <\/strong>Conservative social media commentator Ashley St. Clair, a mother of one of Musk\u2019s many children, told outlets including <em><a href=\"https:\/\/www.theguardian.com\/technology\/2026\/jan\/05\/elon-musk-ashley-st-clair-grok-fake-sexualised-images\" rel=\"nofollow\">The Guardian<\/a> <\/em>and <em><a href=\"https:\/\/www.nbcnews.com\/tech\/elon-musk\/mother-one-elon-musks-children-says-ai-bot-wont-stop-creating-sexualiz-rcna252416\" rel=\"nofollow\">NBC News<\/a><\/em> that she\u2019s been aggressively targeted by nonconsensual sexual deepfakes of her. One photo that was taken when she was 14, she said, was edited to depict her undressed and in a bikini.<\/li>\n<li><strong>January 5, 2026:<\/strong> A spokesperson for the European Commission, the European Union\u2019s executive body, <a href=\"https:\/\/audiovisual.ec.europa.eu\/en\/media\/video\/I-282956\" rel=\"nofollow\">said<\/a> during a press conference that the organization is \u201cvery seriously looking into this matter,\u201d calling the content \u201cillegal\u201d and \u201cdisgusting,\u201d <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cnbc.com\/2026\/01\/05\/india-eu-investigate-musks-x-after-grok-created-deepfake-child-porn.html\" rel=\"nofollow\"><em>CNBC <\/em>reported<\/a>.<\/li>\n<li><strong>January 5, 2026:<\/strong> The independent British media regulator Ofcom <a href=\"https:\/\/x.com\/Ofcom\/status\/2008201578378084550?s=20\" rel=\"nofollow\">said<\/a> that it was \u201caware of serious concerns raised about a feature on Grok on X that produces undressed images of people and sexualized images of children\u201d and had \u201cmade urgent contact with X and xAI to understand what steps they have taken to comply with their legal duties to protect users in the UK.\u201d<\/li>\n<li><strong>January<\/strong> <strong>3, 2026: <\/strong>Musk changed his tune, saying that \u201canyone using Grok to make illegal content will suffer the same consequences as if they upload illegal content.\u201d He didn\u2019t elaborate on whether X or xAI will take action against bad actors, or if it\u2019s instead up to victims to figure out if an oft-anonymous creep somewhere on the web used Grok to make deepfakes of her. (Deepfakes have historically been difficult for individual victims to counter legally.)<\/li>\n<li><strong>January 3, 2026: <\/strong>The Malaysian Communications and Multimedia Commission <a href=\"https:\/\/mcmc.gov.my\/skmmgovmy\/media\/General\/pdf2\/MEDIA_STATEMENT_-MISUSE_OF_AI_TO_GENERATE_HARMFUL_CONTENT_IS_AN_OFFENCE%E2%80%93MCMC.pdf\" rel=\"nofollow\">declared<\/a> that it would investigate X over the content, <a href=\"https:\/\/restofworld.org\/2026\/musk-grok-bikini-trend\/\" rel=\"nofollow\"><em>Rest of World <\/em>reported<\/a>.<\/li>\n<li><strong>January 2, 2026: <\/strong>French prosecutors vowed to investigate the flood of Grok-generated explicit deepfakes on X, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.politico.eu\/article\/france-lawmaker-investigate-deepfakes-women-stripped-naked-grok-x\/\" rel=\"nofollow\"><em>Politico <\/em>reported<\/a>.<\/li>\n<li><strong>January 2, 2026: <\/strong>India\u2019s IT ministry demanded that X take action against the proliferation of \u201cobscene\u201d content on X, <a href=\"https:\/\/techcrunch.com\/2026\/01\/02\/india-orders-musks-x-to-fix-grok-over-obscene-ai-content\/\" rel=\"nofollow\"><em>TechCrunch<\/em> reported<\/a>. The country\u2019s order reportedly gave the platform 72 hours to provide a report describing how it had countered the generation of \u201cobscene, pornographic, vulgar, indecent, sexually explicit, pedophilic, or otherwise prohibited under law.\u201d<\/li>\n<li><strong>January 2, 2026: <\/strong>Musk <a href=\"https:\/\/x.com\/elonmusk\/status\/2007302109612650576\" rel=\"nofollow\">weighed in<\/a> on <a href=\"https:\/\/futurism.com\/artificial-intelligence\/elon-comment-grok-children\">the issue<\/a> for the first time \u2014\u00a0with a <a href=\"https:\/\/emojipedia.org\/face-with-tears-of-joy\" rel=\"nofollow\">laughing emoji<\/a>. X users, meanwhile, continued to use Grok to <a href=\"https:\/\/spitfirenews.com\/p\/grok-csam-deepfakes-abuse-elon-musk\" rel=\"nofollow\">generate generate child sexual abuse material (CSAM)<\/a>, unwanted nude images, and images depicting <a href=\"https:\/\/futurism.com\/future-society\/grok-violence-women\">real women<\/a> being sexually abused, humiliated, and killed.<\/li>\n<li><strong>December 28 \u2013 31, 2025: <\/strong>This is when the trend of X users asking Grok to undress women and girls, often by first asking the AI to put a woman or girl in \u201ca tiny bikini,\u201d really started to take off. Many of the incidents occurred in long threads that got <a href=\"https:\/\/bsky.app\/profile\/eliothiggins.bsky.social\/post\/3mboy3hmcxs2q\" rel=\"nofollow\">lewder and more explicitly pornographic<\/a> as they went on.<\/li>\n<li><strong>December 24, 2025: <\/strong>Musk <a href=\"https:\/\/x.com\/elonmusk\/status\/2004023623078891674?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw%7Ctwcamp%5Etweetembed%7Ctwterm%5E2004023623078891674%7Ctwgr%5Ed76bb551c6bfa6e2b4104ddb81340bbca21e30e1%7Ctwcon%5Es1_&amp;ref_url=https%3A%2F%2Fpetapixel.com%2F2025%2F12%2F29%2Fx-users-have-the-power-to-edit-any-image-without-permission%2F\" rel=\"nofollow\">announced<\/a> that X had rolled out a new feature allowing users to use Grok to edit images and videos. The update <a href=\"https:\/\/petapixel.com\/2025\/12\/29\/x-users-have-the-power-to-edit-any-image-without-permission\/?utm_campaign=the-rise-of-the-troll-state&amp;utm_medium=referral&amp;utm_source=www.garbageday.email\" rel=\"nofollow\">allowed for X users<\/a> to alter images and videos without the permission or knowledge of the original poster.<\/li>\n<li><strong>December 20-22, 2025: <\/strong>According <a href=\"https:\/\/www.garbageday.email\/p\/the-rise-of-the-troll-state\" rel=\"nofollow\">to a <em>Garbage Day <\/em>analysis<\/a>, this is when a growing number of users started finding success \u201cgenerating scantily clad images using Grok, then immediately demanding it make the clothes transparent.\u201d<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p class=\"article-paragraph skip\">A normal company, upon realizing that its platform-embedded AI chatbot was being used at scale to CSAM and unwanted deepfake porn of real people and spew it into the open web, would likely move quickly to disconnect the chatbot from its platform until a problem of such scale and severity could be resolved. But these days, X is not a normal company, and Grok is the same chatbot infamous for scandals including \u2014\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/futurism.com\/grok-ai-white-genocide-tampered\">but not limited to<\/a> \u2014\u00a0calling itself \u201c<a href=\"https:\/\/futurism.com\/grok-mechahitler-meltdown-xai-government-contract\">MechaHitler<\/a>\u201d and spouting <a href=\"https:\/\/futurism.com\/grok-clouds-antisemitism\">antisemitic bile<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p class=\"article-paragraph skip\">The story here isn\u2019t just that Grok was doing this in the first place. It\u2019s also that X, as a platform, appears to be a safe haven for the mass-generation of CSAM and nonconsensual sexual imagery of real women \u2014\u00a0content that has largely been treated by the losers creating this stuff like it\u2019s all just one big meme.
