\n\tDuran Duran<\/a> paid tribute to the victim of a fatal ICE shooting in Minnesota during a recent concert.<\/p>\n

\n\tAt its Friday (Jan. 9) concert at the Thunder Valley Casino in Sacramento, California, the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame\u2013inducted band dedicated its 1993 song \u201cOrdinary World\u201d to 37\u2011year\u2011old Renee Good, who was shot and killed earlier in the week during an ICE operation in Minnesota.<\/p>\n

\n\tThe somber moment was captured in a fan-recorded video posted on Threads<\/a>.<\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cWe believe that people in this world have a right to live their lives in peace and lives of freedom and happiness in their own country,\u201d Duran Duran frontman Simon Le Bon told the audience. \u201cFor all the ordinary people in this world, we wish upon you an ordinary world.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cOrdinary World\u201d appears on the band\u2019s self-titled 1993 album, commonly known as the Wedding Album<\/em>.<\/p>\n

\n\tOn Wednesday (Jan. 7), Good was shot and killed in her car during the ICE operation. The U.S. Department of Homeland Security, along with President Donald Trump and Vice President JD Vance, has maintained that the shooting by officer Jonathan Ross was in self-defense.<\/p>\n

\n\tFootage<\/a> from the incident shows that seconds before the shooting, Good attempted to drive away from the confrontation. DHS officials have claimed that she had been trying to \u201crun over\u201d<\/a> the officer with her vehicle.<\/p>\n

\n\tIn the wake of Good\u2019s death, Minneapolis residents have rallied to mourn her loss and protest ICE\u2019s presence in the city. Mayor Jacob Frey called for federal agents<\/a> to leave Minneapolis, saying in a press conference, \u201cThis was an agent recklessly using power that resulted in somebody dying, getting killed.\u201d<\/p>\n
