\n\tTo celebrate her 80th birthday on Monday (Jan. 19), the iconic singer-songwriter shared a new version of her 1977 song <\/a>\u201cLight of a Clear Blue Morning\u201d and some laughs in a video on Instagram<\/a>.<\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cWell, hey there! It\u2019s Dolly, and I\u2019ve made it! I\u2019m 80 years old,\u201d Parton said. \u201cCan you believe that? Anyway, what do you give somebody that\u2019s 80 years old? Well, you don\u2019t take gifts. You give things.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tShe added, \u201cI\u2019m gonna give you the gift of a bunch of friends that stopped by to help me sing on a song called \u2018Light of a Clear Blue Morning,\u2019 a song I wrote years ago. In fact, it\u2019s 50 years old. We did a new version of it, Kent Wells producing it, and then I\u2019m giving you the gift of Queen Latifah, Reba McEntire, Miley Cyrus and Lainey Wilson, with David Foster playing the piano.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tHer original recording of \u201cLight of a Clear Blue Morning\u201d appeared on her 1977 album, New Harvest\u2026 First Gathering<\/em>, and reached No. 11 on Billboard<\/em>\u2019s Hot Country Singles chart that June. <\/p>\n

\n\tIn the Instagram clip, Parton said the new version \u201creally lifts us up this day and time,\u201d noting, Lord knows we could use that, right?\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tShe also joked about her age, saying, \u201cAnyway, thank you for all the birthday wishes. And I hope I live another 80 years, but I hope I\u2019ve still got my plastic surgeons in line.\u201d With a laugh, the \u201cJolene\u201d singer added, \u201cOh Lord, I\u2019ve outlived so many plastic surgeons. Well, happy birthday to me!\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tNet proceeds from \u201cLight of a Clear Blue Morning\u201d and its music video will benefit the pediatric cancer research program at Monroe Carell Jr. Children\u2019s Hospital at Vanderbilt in Nashville.<\/p>\n

\n\tParton previously spoke about her plastic surgery in a 2020 interview with 60 Minutes<\/em>, according to People<\/a>.<\/em> <\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cI\u2019ve had about all the nips and tucks I can have,\u201d she said. \u201cThe good part with me though, I have my own look. I look kind of cartoonish and cartoons don\u2019t really age that much.\u201d She added, \u201cEven when I\u2019m 90, I\u2019ll probably look about the same way \u2014 just with thicker make-up and bigger hair.\u201d<\/p>\n
