The Puerto Rican superstar gave an impassioned speech against recent ICE immigration raids earlier in the evening, proclaiming, \u201cwe\u2019re not savage, we\u2019re not animals, we\u2019re not aliens. We are humans, and we are Americans.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI want to dedicate this award to all the people who have to leave their homeland, their country, to follow their dreams,\u201d he said after accepting the Album of the Year trophy from Harry Styles.<\/p>\n<p>More from Spin:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>\n\t\t\t<a href=\"https:\/\/www.spin.com\/2026\/02\/the-cure-grammy-wins\/\">\u2018Lost\u2019 And Found: The Cure Wins First Grammys Ever<\/a>\n\t\t<\/li>\n<li>\n\t\t\t<a href=\"https:\/\/www.spin.com\/2026\/02\/noah-kahan-summer-stadium-tour\/\">Noah Kahan Nails Down Summer Stadium Trek<\/a>\n\t\t<\/li>\n<li>\n\t\t\t<a href=\"https:\/\/www.spin.com\/2026\/02\/hayley-williams-power-snatch\/\">Hayley Williams Introduces Power Snatch<\/a>\n\t\t<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Bunny was contractually unable to perform due to his Super Bowl Halftime Show headlining appearance next weekend in Santa Clara, Ca., but host Trevor Noah eventually got him to sing a few bars backed by the Latin Street Band as the show went to a commercial break.<\/p>\n<p>The night\u2019s other top winners included Billie Eilish and her brother FINNEAS for Song of the Year (\u201cWildflower\u201d), Lola Young for Best Pop Solo Performance (\u201cMessy\u201d), Kendrick Lamar for Best Rap Album (<em>GNX<\/em>) \u2013 the trophy for which allowed him to eclipse Jay-Z for the most Grammys of all time with 26. Lamar won again later in the evening for Record of the Year for his song \u201cluther\u201d featuring SZA, before which Cher provided a hilarious moment of live television.<\/p>\n<p>After a rambling speech about her career, she seemingly walked offstage without announcing the nominees for the category. Host Revor Noah was able to talk her back to center stage, but when she announced the winner, she mistakenly said \u201cLuther Vandross\u201d \u2014 leading to an instant meme moment. Lamar saved the situation with a thoughtful speech about sampling Vandross for the track.<\/p>\n<figure class=\"wp-block-embed is-type-video is-provider-youtube wp-block-embed-youtube wp-embed-aspect-16-9 wp-has-aspect-ratio\">\n<div class=\"wp-block-embed__wrapper\">\n<lite-youtube videoid=\"kyvPTA0SW-E\" style=\"bottom: 0; height: 100%; left: 0; position: absolute; right: 0; top: 0; width: 100%; max-width:100%;\"><\/lite-youtube>\n<\/div>\n<\/figure>\n<p>Olivia Dean won Best New Artist and Pharrell Williams was presented the Dr. Dre Global Impact Award by Q-Tip. Williams later performed with longtime friends and collaborators Clipse, who earlier won the first Grammy of their careers for Best Rap Performance.
