The album is best known for the huge single \u201cThe Middle,\u201d which dramatically increased the Arizona band\u2019s mainstream visibility and has now been streamed more than a billion times on Spotify.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cAt the time we wrote it, I didn\u2019t think \u2018The Middle\u2019 was all that valuable because it was so simple and came together really quickly,\u201d frontman Jim Adkins <a href=\"https:\/\/www.spin.com\/2021\/07\/jimmy-eat-world-bleed-american-jim-adkins-interview-20th-anniversary\/\">told SPIN<\/a> in 2021. \u201cWe put it on the record but we never expected for it to have the connection with people that it has.
