It\u2019s the most detailed look behind the curtain to date about McCartney\u2019s post-Beatles years starting in 1970 and his 30-year relationship with Linda, who also played keyboards in the band. <\/p>\n<p>With McCartney eager to get back on the road following the Beatles\u2019 1966 decision to stop touring altogether, Wings eventually became an arena-filling band in its own right thanks to albums such as\u00a0<em>Band on the Run<\/em>\u00a0(1973) and\u00a0<em>Venus and Mars<\/em>\u00a0(1975). McCartney also released acclaimed solo work attributed to himself (1970\u2019s\u00a0<em>McCartney<\/em>) or in tandem with Linda (1971\u2019s\u00a0<em>Ram<\/em>) before Wings dissolved in 1980.
