It\u2019s the Isaac Brock-led combo\u2019s first new music since the 2021 release of the album <em>The Golden Casket<\/em>, which debuted at No. 7 on <em>Billboard<\/em>\u2018s Top Alternative Albums chart. A new full-length is expected for release this year, but details have yet to be announced.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI used to sleep in the branches \/ I used to slither in the grass \/ I can\u2019t believe how long I\u2019ve wanted to be living in the past,\u201d Brock barks on the new song. \u201cYou say you\u2019re related to ancient kings \/ Oh! The group will tour throughout the spring and summer, beginning May 12 in Spokane, Wa., and concluding Sept. 20 at the Shaky Knees festival in Atlanta. Modest Mouse will also play San Francisco\u2019s Outside Lands festival on Aug. 7 and open for My Chemical Romance at Washington, D.C.\u2019s Nationals Park on Aug. 18.<\/p>\n<figure class=\"wp-block-embed is-type-video is-provider-youtube wp-block-embed-youtube wp-embed-aspect-16-9 wp-has-aspect-ratio\">\n<div class=\"wp-block-embed__wrapper\">\n<lite-youtube videoid=\"SRr_3hk69Wc\" style=\"bottom: 0; height: 100%; left: 0; position: absolute; right: 0; top: 0; width: 100%; max-width:100%;\"><\/lite-youtube>\n<\/div>\n<\/figure>\n<p>In February, Modest Mouse hosted its first Ice Cream Floats cruise, which sailed from Miami to Puerto Plata, Dominican Republic, and found the band playing two electric sets (including a complete performance of its 2000 Epic debut <em>The Moon &amp; Antarctica<\/em>) and an acoustic show. Other performers included Portugal.
